Abstract

Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zur mobilen Datenübertragung, insbesondere ein Verfahren zur Übertragung multimedialer Daten auf ein mobiles Teilnehmer-Endgerät, bei dem die Multimedia Messaging (MM) Daten von einer MMS- Applikation an eine Netzwerkeinheit Multimedia Messaging Service (MMS) Proxy/Relay A übersandt und über eine Verbindung an eine Netzwerkeinheit MMS Proxy/Relay B weitergeleitet und von dort an einen Empfänger übersandt werden, wobei Daten in einer Netzwerkeinheit MMS Proxy/Relay zwischen einer binären und einer textuellen Darstellung umgewandelt werden, ein Computerprogrammerzeugnis und ein Kommunikationssystem. Um ein Verfahren zur mobilen Übertragung multimedialer Daten, ein Computerprogrammerzeugnis und ein Kommunikationssystem zu schaffen, in denen auch unbekannte Codes ohne systembedingte Übertragungsprobleme und insbesondere vorwärtskompatibel verarbeitet werden können, wird vorgeschlagen, daß Elemente der Daten, die ein unbekanntes Code-Wort beinhalten, markiert übertragen werden.
