Abstract

Sound damper (10) for extraction air from a fan assembly (20), including a sound-damping layer at an outlet duct (12) for the xtracted air. The outlet duct (12) is perforated (14) and enclosed at a distance by an outer wall (28) that includes the sound-damping layer (36).

Claims

1. Sound damper (10) at a fan assembly (20 for extraction air, including sound- damping layers at a perforated outlet duct (12) for the extracted air characterised in that the outlet duct (12) is enclosed at a distance by an outer wall (28) to form a free space and allow admittance of surrounding air therebetween, said outer wall (28) comprising the sound- damping layer (36).
2. Sound damper according to claim 1 characterised in that a non- perforated ducting section (18) that tapers towards the cross-section of the outlet duct (12) in the direction of the flow (19) of extracted air is arranged between the fan assembly (20) and the outlet duct (12).
3. Sound damper according any of the previous claims characterised in that the outer wall (28) includes a box construction consisting of board-shaped wall elements where each, from the inside and outwards, contains an inner perforated surface layer (32), the sound-damping layer (36) and an outer surface layer (30).
4. Sound damper according any of the previous claims characterised in that the outer wall (28) is arranged with an air entrance (40) at an end opposite to the outlet end (16) of the outlet duct (12) viewed in an outlet direction (19) of the extraction air to thereby facilitate said admittance of air.
