Abstract

The invention concerns a device for measuring (10) a displacement M of an element (100), characterised in that it comprises geometrical means for actuating acquisition means (32) of a sensor (30) in accordance with a known function of the displacement M. In particular, said device may include a ramp (1), inclined relative to the measuring direction (D) and linked, in displacement along the measuring direction, with the element (100). An input piston (11), arranged perpendicular to the measuring direction (D), is maintained in contact with the ramp and the movement of the input piston, perpendicular to the measuring direction is proportional to the inclination (P) of the ramp and to the measured displacement (M). The input piston (11) can be linked through balls (6) to an output piston (12) adapted to transmit, along an outputting direction, the movement of the input piston to the acquisition means (32) of the sensor (30). When the inclination (P) of the ramp is substantially less than 45 degrees, such a device is adapted to measure large displacements with a low-capacity sensor.
