Abstract

The invention relates to an opening device for flexible packaging of the type that is produced using thermoweldable layers (11, 12) and the upper part of which is provided with an area (13) which is sealed by means of thermowelding and which forms the closure device for the packaging (1). When a defined portion of the opening (14) is torn away, a mouth is formed which is used to pour or suck up the product contained in the packaging (1). Said sealed area (13) is provided with a slit and/or holes (15) which mark the beginning of a tear line. The inventive device comprises a transversely-disposed stiffening element on the portion for opening (14) the mouth of the packaging (1) which defines a tear guide during the opening of the device.
