Abstract

A cross-correlation suppression type spread series set increasing the frequency use efficiency, suppressing the interference noise in a sector or cell as well as interference noise between sectors or cells, and having a low power bandwidth product and a CDMA communication method using the cross-correlation suppression type spread series set. A series belonging to a set of mutually orthogonal series is assigned without overlap as a pilot transmission of each user belonging to the adjacent sector or cell and as a data transmission spread series used by the sector or the cell.
