Abstract

The invention relates to a method for retouching or revarnishing a coating (2) produced from at least one coating material (2), which can be cured thermally and by means of actinic radiation. Said method is characterized by the following: (I) at least one coating material (2), which can be cured thermally and by means of actinic radiation, is applied to a substrate or to at least one uncured, partially cured or completely cured layer of a coating material (1); (II) the resulting layer is cured by means of actinic radiation; (III) the resulting coating(s) (2) is coated with at least one coating material (3), which can be cured thermally and by means of actinic radiation; (IV) the resulting layer (s) (3) is cured by means of actinic radiation; (V) the coatings (2) and (3) and the uncured or partially cured layer (s) (1) are thermally treated. The invention also relates to the use of the method in coating motor vehicles, buildings, windows, doors or furniture, industrial coating and the coating of white goods.
