Abstract

This device is a curved board to perform acupressure therapy on the thoracolumbar region, the spinal column, and to practice stretching. In detail, if a person lies on his back on this device, the spinal column will receive acupressure from the person's own body weight. The main points of the device are as belows: First, the curved form is modeled in tha shape of a 'stretched' spinal column, which is an extended form of the letter 'S' if pulled at both ends. Second, both the front and back sides have identical shape and are formed into a curve to provide use at both sides. Third, 'wrinkles' are found along the curve and the projecting part at the same location of the acupressure point of the spinal column for designed effective acupressure of the spinal column.
