Abstract

Device for rock drilling compriding a feed beam (1) along a rock drilling machine is movable to-and-fro, two guides (3, 4) fixed on the beam (1) at a distance from each other for guiding a feeder part (5) which is displaceable in the guides and carrying a drill guide (6). The device comprises one or more supports (7) arranged at the feed beam (1) between the guides (3, 4) and that the support (7) is displaceable in two directions (8, 9) perpendicular to the feed beam (1).

Description

Device in rock drilling, for a feeder part displaceable relative to a feed beam.
The present invention relates to a device for rock drilling. More specifically the invention relates to the guiding of a feeder part, provided with a drill guide, which is displaceable relative to a feed beam.
In a previously known solution of guiding of the displaceble feeder part one uses two guides fixed on the feed beam at a distance from each other. When using this known solution one gets a play due to wear after some time. This means that the displaceable feeder part becomes tilted relative to the feed beam. Through this the drill guide on the displaceable feeder part does not give correct guidance for the drill tool connected to the drilling machne on the feed beam.
The present invention, which is defined in the subsequent claim, aims at achieving a device for rock drilling where the above mentioned drawback is elliminated through arranging one or more supports between the guides for the displaceable feeder part and through making the support displaceable in two directionsbeing perpendicular to the feed beam to minimize the play between the feed beam and the displaceable feeder part.
An embodiment of the invention is described below with reference to the accompanying drawing in which fig 1 shows a device for rock drilling according to the invention. Fig 2 shows on a larger scale a part of the device according to fig 1.
The device for rock drilling shown in the drawing comprises a feed beam 1 along which a rock drilling machine 2 is movable to-and-fro in the usual manner. The feed beam 1 is provided with a displaceable feeder part 5 which is guided in two guides 3, 4 arranged at a distance from each other and fixed to the feed beam 1. The feeder part 5 is displaceable by means of a hydraulic cylinder 11 and provided with a drill guide 6 for a drill tool 10 connected to the rock drilling machine 2. Between guides 3 and 4 a support 7 is arranged. The support 7 is displaceable in two directions 8 and 9 perpendicular to the feed beam 1. Through the displaceability of the support 7 feeder part 5 can be displaced so that it abuts the guides 3 and 4 without play. Through this one can compensate for the play caused by wear. This gives as result that the feeder part 5 remains parallel to the feed beam 1. The support 7 is lockable by means of shims or in another suitable way. When the wear of the guides and the support has reached a certain level the support 7 can be moved in the other direction, opposite to the directions 8 and 9, after which the device can be used for the same amount of time before any parts have to be replaced.

Claims

Claim:
1. Device for rock drilling comprising a feed beam (1) along which a rock drilling machine is movable to-and-fro, two guides (3,4) fixed on the feed beam (1) at a distance from each other for guiding a feeder part (5) which is displaceable in the guides and carrying a drill guide (6) for a drill tool (10) connected to the rock drilling machine (2), characterized by at least one support (7) arranged at the feed beam (1) between the guides (3,4) and that the support (7) is displaceable in two directions (8,9) perpendicular to the feed beam (1).
