- isolation valves which are standard equipment, automatically close before the QC/DC couplings are disconnected, and open after the QC/DC couplings are connected.
- the rope 4 which is attached to the connector body 3 preferably is a floatable rope, which means that it is easy to pick the rope up from the sea. Then there is no need for a float in the end of the rope, and the rope can therefore be pulled directly through the central opening 13 in the pipe housing 33, and around the capstan winch 14.
