Abstract

L'invention se rapporte au formage des métaux, en particulier à la production d'ébauches métalliques et en alliage de métaux par déformation plastique, y compris de longues billettes ayant une structure à grains fins préparée au préalable, plus particulièrement des structures submicrocristallines et nanocristallines. Le procédé de l'invention permet de produire des ébauches présentant une stratification longitudinale et un renforcement interne. Ce procédé peut être aussi utilisé pour le traitement des ébauches fabriquées à partir de poudres métalliques afin d'obtenir un article monolithique. La déformation plastique s'effectue par moulage de compression dans un moule de compression à l'aide d'un outil profilé disposé dans le canal de compression du moule. Ledit outil profilé dirige une coulée de métal et crée un schéma combiné de retrait, de cisaillement et de torsion accompagné par la restauration de la superficie de la section de l'ébauche sans détruire sa continuité. Selon l'invention, ce procédé réduit les coûts de traitement des ébauches, de fait de l'utilisation d'un équipement de série, par exemple des presses hydrauliques verticales et horizontales. Ledit procédé permet de traiter les ébauches fabriquées en alliages difficiles à former et à faible ductilité, en poudres métalliques et en matériaux composites et d'augmenter le coefficient de recyclage du métal.
