Abstract
La présente invention concerne l'analyse géométrique quantitative qui permet de mesurer plusieurs caractéristiques des images de tissus, telles que le périmètre, la surface et d'autres mesures. L'automatisation de l'extraction des caractéristiques assure une capacité de rendement élevé qui permet d'effectuer l'analyse de sections série pour mesurer avec une plus grande précision les dimensions des tissus. Les résultats des mesures sont entrés dans une base de données relationnelles où ils peuvent être analysés par une analyse statistique et comparés aux études. Dans ce processus intégré, les résultats sont également imprimés sur les images elles-mêmes pour faciliter l'analyse des résultats. Cette analyse est rapide, reproductible et précise tout en permettant au pathologiste de contrôler le processus de mesure.
