Abstract

Bei einem Verfahren zum Charakterisieren eines Signals, das einen Audioinhalt darstellt, wird ein Maß für eine Tonalität des Signals ermittelt (12), woraufhin eine Aussage über den Audioinhalt des Signals aufgrund des Maßes für die Tonalität des Signals getroffen wird (16). Das Maß für die Tonalität des Signals zur Inhaltsanalyse ist gegenüber einer Signalverzer-rung, wie z.B. durch MP3-Codierung, robust und hat eine hohe Korrelation zu dem Inhalt des untersuchten Signals.
