Abstract

L'invention concerne un four comportant un garnissage solidifié entre un garnissage de four et une charge contenue dans le four, ce four comprenant des moyens pour réguler le fonctionnement du four, notamment des moyens pour mesurer la température dans une paroi du four adjacente au garnissage solidifié et pour évaluer l'épaisseur du garnissage solidifié en fonction de la température dans la paroi, ainsi que des moyens pour réguler le taux de production de chaleur dans le four pour amener une épaisseur du garnissage solidifié à une valeur prédéterminée. Des variables comprenant des mesures de thermocouple de paroi latérale, des mesures d'instruments de traitement de gaz, des mesures du système de refroidissement et des enregistrements du système électrique, de l'alimentation et de la composition chimique sont contrôlées, analysées et manipulées. Le four comprend également des moyens pour estimer une composition future de charge du four, effectuer un contrôle de la composition chimique, un bilan matières du four et un contrôle d'inventaire sur le four.
