Abstract

The invention relates to the treating of cork stoppers with a view to eliminating the particles and the constituents that can cause the corky taste in wines. Said invention uses the principle of cleaning with the steam obtained by high-frequency heating. The device comprises a high-voltage, high-frequency generator (6, 7, 10, 11) which supplies a flat electrode (2) which is disposed at a well determined distance from another electrode (1) which is connected to ground potential. Both electrodes are pierced with holes intended to enable the circulation of dry air produced by a circuit (4, 5, 13, 14). The stoppers are conveyed by a notched drum (9).
