Abstract

L'invention porte sur un procédé et un système de mise en correspondance d'identificateurs logiques avec des identificateurs physiques. Dans l'une des variantes, un système d'acheminement logique permet pour chaque application, ou plus généralement pour chaque entité (par exemple l'utilisateur d'une application) d'enregistrer la mise en correspondance de l'identificateur logique avec l'identificateur physique lors du démarrage de l'exécution de l'application sur un ordinateur. Pour envoyer un message à une application identifiée par un identificateur logique, un programme client utilise la mise en correspondance enregistrée pour identifier l'identificateur physique de l'ordinateur. Si l'exécution d'une application démarre plus tard sur un autre ordinateur, l'application peut alors enregistrer une mise en correspondance différente.
