Abstract

The invention relates to a method for evaluating a physiological state of a human organism. The inventive method consists in determining the sodium-potassium ratio in human saliva by measuring a throw diffusion current passing through a sensor which is provided with glass carbon electrodes and human saliva placed thereon, and is carrying out a polarography with the aid of solid electrodes. The total current of sodium and potassium ions contained in the saliva is measured with the aid of a bielectrode sensor operation. The electrodes being depolarised, the sensor is switched to the tri-electrode operation, the diffusion current of potassium is measured and the sodium-potassium saliva ratio is defined. The inventive device for carrying out said method is also disclosed.
