Abstract

The present invention relates to radio frequency signal generation and amplification and relates to a polar loop amplifier arrangement. The present invention seeks to overcome problems associated with known polar loop amplifiers such as poor dynamic range which is known to result in spectral re-growth. The present invention provides a polar loop amplifier which includes separate phase and amplitude loops and includes power control means within the amplitude loop. A method of use is also presented.
