Abstract

The invention relates to a composition containing at least one solvent and at least two different compounds of general formula (I) wherein R1 represents each of the compounds of general formula (I) present in the composition, independently representing an optionally substituted, linear or branched, saturated or unsaturated alkyl radical containing 3 - 44 C atoms, an optionally substituted aralkyl radical containing 6 - 44 C atoms, an optionally substituted aryl radical containing 6 - 44 C atoms or an optionally substituted heteroaryl radical and X represents a functional group selected from the group consisting of COOH, HSO¿3?, HSO4, (OH)2PO, (OH)2PO2 (OH)(OR?2¿)PO and (OH)(OR2)PO2 and whereby R2 represents a linear or branched alkyl radical containing 1 - 10 C atoms. The invention also relates to a metal surface which can be obtained by contacting the surface of a metal with the inventive composition. The invention further relates to a method for treating the surface of metals with said inventive composition and the use of the inventive composition for treating the surface of metals.
