Abstract

Bekannte faseroptische Schalter sind gross und komplex aufgebaut oder erlauben nur einfache Verschaltungen. Der erfindungsgemäße faseroptische Schalter ist kompakt und einfach aufgebaut und erlaubt eine breite Palette von Verschaltungen. Insbesondere sind Ausgetaltungen als 1x2-,2x2-und 1xN-Schalter vorteilhaft. Mindestens eine bewegliche Lichtleitfaser wird durch Einbiegen in eine Nut einer Justagestruktur mit einer der weiteren Lichtleitfasern gekoppelt. Dabei dient ein Schaltkörper zur Auswahl der Nut. Die Nuten sind auf einem virtuellen Zylinder- oder Kegelmantel angeordnet, um dessen Achse der Schaltkörper drehbar gelagert ist. Der Schaltkörper und die mindestens eine Lichtleitfaser sind nicht fest gelagert verbunden. Vorteilhafterweise ist die Anordnung mechanisch bistabil oder multistabil ausgelegt und ein Permanentmagnet dient als Schaltkörper. Der faseroptische Schalter eignet sich für Schaltaufgaben in der Messtechnik, in der Datentechnik und in der Telekommunikation.
