Definitions

  • the invention relates to a method for transmitting information, an information receiver and an information transmission system according to the preambles of the independent claims.
  • Information transmission methods are known in which information is transmitted to a user via a first and a second channel and the transmitted information is presented in a combined manner. Stereophony can already be seen as such a transmission.
  • television sets in which, for example, essentially a television program, but a second television program or teletext is displayed in a smaller window.
  • Disadvantage of such in- Formation transmission process is that the user individuality goes so far that certain combinations can be put together from several publicly available channels. Incidentally, these combinations are not coordinated with one another, and the variability or flexibility is kept within narrow limits due to the fixed channels or frequencies.
  • the object of the invention is to provide a method for transmitting information, an information receiver and an information transmission system with which information can be transmitted or received in a very flexible manner via at least two channels. This object is achieved with the features of the independent claims. Dependent claims are directed on preferred embodiments of the invention.

In the conventional sense, it can be, for example, a radio or television channel (also via cable). To the thanks to the "public” channel within the meaning of this application, it does not contradict that the public channel is only accessible after a - possibly chargeable - "log in” or "sign in” by users who wish to do so.
