Abstract

Cette invention a trait à un appareil, et à la méthode correspondante, permettant de générer des fonctions de hachage au moyen d'un dispositif d'application de la théorie du chaos. Dans le cadre de cette méthode, un signal d'information en entrée est converti en un nombre réel et des signaux chaotiques, modulés par le signal d'information, sont retournés aux dispositifs « chaotiques ». Les signaux chaotiques produits par les dispositifs « chaotiques » sont convertis selon un processus bit par bit et un vecteur de hachage est appliqué logiquement et mis en rotation selon ce processus bit par bit dans une unité opérant une rotation de vecteurs et ce, à l'aide des signaux convertis selon ledit processus bit par bit. Un comparateur, qui détermine si d'autres signaux d'information sont encore en entrée ou non, sort le vecteur de hachage, produit par l'unité de rotation, en tant que valeur de hachage lorsqu'il est établi qu'aucun autre signal d'information n'est en entrée.
