Abstract

The lower part (1) is provided with a screw hole (3) to which the screw (7) can directly be screwed. There are two complementary circular cavities (4) with different diameters at the bottom of the upper part (2). The circular cavity (4) is large enough for the easy passage of the screw (7) head. A connection recess (5) is provided on one end of the lower part (1) and one end of the upper part (2) is arranged as a latch (6). The latch shaped end (6) of the upper part engages to the connection recess (5) at the lower part (1). The one piece clamp rubber (8) is passed over the engaged lower (1) and upper (2) parts. The head of the screw (7) screwed into the hole (3) on the lower part is passed through the large cavity (4), then is placed in it by moving towards the cavity (4) with smaller diameter thus a concentricity is provided for the lower (1) and upper parts.

Description

PIPE CLAMP LOCKING AT ACUTE ANGLES
The present invention is related to a pipe clamp that is able to provide locking at narrow angle.
The pipe clamps are used in order to lay the pipes onto horizontal or vertical surfaces. The conventional pipe clamps are employed in such a manner that the pipe is suspended to a part that is fixed on the surface or the clamp consisting of two parts is screwed from its upper part to a fixed part so that the pipe remains between the two parts.
h the European Patent Application No. EP 96810386, an open channel is opened on the upper shackle and a screw hole is opened on the other shackle. The upper part is loosely screwed to the fixed part through the screw hole and then an opening movement is made in the opposite direction of the open mouth of the channel in order to fasten laterally the upper part to the screw on the fixed part and finally both screws are tightened and the pipe is laid on a surface, hi this application an extra space towards the sides and also screws for locking are required. In another application the upper and lower parts of the European Patent Application No. EP 96810386 are movably engaged so each other, h both cases, the upper part is not closed axially onto the screwed lower part. The fact that the first lateral opening movement is obligatory, also requires the clamp rubber to be placed inside the two-piece clamp, to be made of two pieces. For this reason a loss in the clamping surface of the clamp, on the pipe, occurs. While the pipe clamp is secured onto the pipe, the screw-head passes loosely into the channel and then the screw is tightened up. In this embodiment, the screw length necessary for the tightening process, has to be longer due to its own structural problem. The channel on the upper part can not engage to a screw that is long enough for the tightening process. hi another embodiment, a channel is provided at the central portion of the upper, the edges of which are chamfered outwards and bent upwards. A screw is connected to another channel on the lower part so that it can move with the nut from below.
The upper and lower parts of the European Patent Application No. EP 96810386 are movably engaged so each other and a screw is movably to the end portion of the lower part. The hook-shaped head portion of the upper part is pulled forward and engages to the screw body and thus the pipe clamp is tightened. The object of the present invention is to realize a pipe clamp that can provide locking at an acute angle.
The pipe clamp realized in order to attain the above object of the invention is shown in the attached drawings, wherein:
Figure 1 is the plan view of the upper part. Figure 2 is the plan view of the lower part. Figure 3 is the side and plan views of the pipe clamp as in a locked state.
The reference numerals of the components shown in drawings are as listed below:
(1) Lower Part
(2) Upper Part (3) Lower Part Screw Hole
(4) Upper Part Circular Cavities
(5) Lower Part Connection Recess
(6) Upper Part Connection Latch
(7) Screw (8) Clamp Rubber The lower part (1) is provided with a screw hole (3) to which the screw (7) can directly be screwed.
The latch-shaped end (6) of the upper part engages to the connection recess (5) at the lower part (1). The one-piece clamp rubber (8) is passed over the engaged lower (1) and upper (2) parts. The head of the screw (7) screwed into the screw hole (3) on the lower part is passed through the large cavity (4), then is placed in it by moving towards the cavity (4) with smaller diameter, thus a concentricity is provided for the lower (1) and upper parts.
The cavity (4) with a narrow diameter and the inside of the screw (7) head are so made that they match each other and the screw (7) head is engaged into the narrow cavity from its lower side and then locking is provided by tightening the screw.
