Abstract

A holding means for tacos or such similar food comprising a pushing means (3) for pushing out the remaining portion of the taco in the holding means (1) that is covered by the holding means (1) when eating the taco. The holding means comprises a bottom (4) and two side walls (2) and an end wall (5) which are sealingly tight between each other. The pushing means (3) is rotatably arranged at the upper edge (8) of the end wall (5) and comprises a pushing tongue (6) which in start position is adjacent the inner side of the end wall (5).

Description

HOLDING DEVICE

The present invention relates to a holding device for tacos and such similar food.

When eating tacos and such similar food usually a problem arises of holding the taco shell with all the filling without squeezing so hard that it breaks but still firm enough so that the shell is not dropped. Additionally the filling easily drops out of the taco shell, especially in the opposite end to the end that you eat from.

On the market there are some holders for tacos but they are adapted for standing on the plate to support a taco shell when filling it and for making it possible to put down the taco while eating.

An object of the present invention is to provide a holding means which facilitates the eating of a taco or such similar food.

This object is met according to the present invention by means of a holding means for tacos or such similar food according to claim 1.

An advantage with the present invention is that the taco rests in the holding means of the present invention so that while eating the portion of taco extending outside the holding means the risk of squeezing the taco so it breaks is eliminated. When this portion is eaten a portion of the taco that is covered by the holding means is pushed out by means of pushing means so that an further portion of the taco can be eaten. This method is repeated until the whole taco is eaten.

The taco is pushed out of the holding means in its longitudinal direction and the holding means preferably comprises a bottom, two side walls and an end wall. Preferably, they are sealingly joined together or provided in one piece so that the holding means forms a sealed trough, which not only gives the advantage that filling dropping out may be stopped but also that liquid leaking may be caught in the holding means instead of leaking into the hand.

The pushing means comprises a pushing tongue and an operate tongue and is rotatably arranged at the upper edge of the end wall .

The invention will now be described in more detail by means of an exemplifying embodiment and referring to the appended drawings, in which:

Fig. 1 shows a holding means of the present invention with a taco placed therein.

Fig. 2 shows an empty holding means according to fig. 1 from the side.

Fig. 3 shows the holding means of fig. 2 from the open end.

Fig. 4 shows the holding means of fig. 2 from the end wall.

Fig. 5 illustrates the pushing means.

In fig. 1 a taco is shown placed in a holding means 1 according to the present invention. The taco is covered by a side wall 2, in this case to about a third of the taco.

In fig. 2 the holding means 1 is shown without a taco and there it is possible to see that the holding means 1 comprises two side walls 2 and a pushing means 3.

In fig. 3 it is shown that the side walls 2 of the holding means 1 is held together by means of a bottom 4 and a rear end wall 5. At the upper edge 8 of the rear end wall 5 the pushing means 3 is rotatably arranged, for example by means of an axis. The pushing means 2 comprises a pushing tongue 6 and an operate tongue 7, which are angled about 90 degrees to each other, and is suspended in the upper edge 8 of the end wall 5 in the transition area between the pushing tongue 6 and the operate tongue 7. The operate tongue 6 is in the start position adjacent the inner side of the end wall 5 and the operate tongue 7 extends radially from the holding means 1.

When the taco has been eaten so much that the remaining portion is covered by the side walls and the bottom 4 of the holding means the operate tongue 7 is pressed down towards the outside of the end wall 5 so that the pushing tongue 6 pushes the remaining portion in the longitudinal direction of the holding means and the taco. This may obviously be done subsequently in stages, all following the wishes of the eater.

Preferably the holding means is formed in a shape suitable for a taco and that it covers such a portion of the taco that the taco firmly rests in the holding means but that it does not cover too much of the taco so that the pushing means is needed to be used unnecessarily much.

The above described and shown embodiment shall only be taken as an example of how a holding means according to the invention may of course be amended and modified within the scope of the appended claims. For example, the pushing means may be rotatably arranged on an axle extending between the side walls .

Claims

1. A holding means for tacos or such similar food comprising a pushing means (3) for pushing out the remaining portion of the taco in the holding means (1) that is covered by the holding means (1) when eating the taco, whereby the holding means comprises a bottom (4) and two side walls (2) and an end wall (5) , characterised in that the bottom (4) , the side walls (2) and the end wall (5) is sealingly tight between each other and that the pushing means (3) is rotatably arranged at the upper edge (8) of the end wall (5) and comprises a pushing tongue (6) which in start position is adjacent the inner side of the end wall (5) .

2. A holding means according to claim 1 , wherein the pushing means (3) work in the longitudinal direction of the holding means (1) and of the therein positioned taco.

3. A holding means according to claim 1 or 2 , therein the bottom (4) , side walls (2) and end wall (5) is in one piece.

4. A holding means according to claim 1, 2 or 3 , wherein the pushing means (3) comprises an operate tongue (7) for operation of the pushing tonque (6) between the start position and a fully pushed out position.
