PORTABLE HOOK-ON FRAME FOR PANELS WITH FOLDING WORK TOPS
The present invention relates to a device for a temporarily hook-on or mounting on a vertical panel, such as an open door, or a horizontal mounted profile on a wall or a balustrade of a balcony and such, for supporting subjects, such as for example measuring instruments, a laptop as well as instruction manuals, diagrams and such on at least a top or plate shaped element. A somewhat similar device is known in the Dutch application titled: ^Demonteerbare Balkontafel" , no. 1 000 277, filed 02.05.95 by Some - Vena Handels aatschappij B.V. in Baarn of inventor J. de Vries.
Here, it concerns a disassembling balcony table, consisting of a suspension system with a table top mountable on several heights. The disassembling balcony table is composed of a flat supporting element on the balustrade, a counter element hooked behind the balustrade, on the front side a suspension plate with facilities on several heights to hook-on the table top equipped as a piece of plastic and on the back side of the suspension plate a distance block which can also be snapped on the back side of the suspension plate in order to ensure an almost horizontal position of the mentioned table top. Here, it concerns a complete plastic constructed disassembling balcony table to leave outside the whole season during several weather types in mounted condition and is of campsite or garden furniture quality such as plastic garden chairs, tables and such. The disassembling balcony table consists of five parts, which are made by means of injection moulding and in detail, as shown in the patent document, have a rather complicated construction and in which it is economically difficult to make.
The known disassembling (balcony) table has a number of disadvantages, such as the already mentioned complicated details and therefore expensive to produce, the construction is of plastic, through which the possible load on the table element is small and especially should not be assembled and disassembled too often, which all the same takes too much time for professional use, furthermore that it only contains one single table top and for documents no extra desk element is possible. The aim of the present invention is to supply an easy and fast to assemble portable hook-on frame with folding work tops for professional use, by which technicians can apply the present device according to the invention fast and efficient on level to the panel of the door of, for example a measuring and control cabinet and by which assembling and disassembling can be done unrestrictedly and in which still reasonable loads can be carried by the panels .
For this a portable hook-on frame for panels with folding work tops has been further developed in a very inventive way and in such a way that the mentioned device is constructed of a vertical in height adjustable basic frame with near the bottom side mounted thereon a, to approximately right angled, hinging fold-out panel and near the top an. hinging expandable U-shaped document holder frame with a plate, in which the mentioned height adjustability by means of a lock or snap connection device takes place with a telescopic suspension frame out of the mentioned basic frame, in which the mentioned suspension frame is supplied with suspension hooks on the top side for suspending to the mentioned panel or balustrade, by which the profile frames are constructed of metal or plastic.
The advantage of this is that a very efficient device for especially technicians has been created, which is of course also very useable for others and other circumstances and can therefore be made in an economic justifiable way. Furthermore the device according to the invention is developed in such a way, that the mentioned vertical in height adjustable basic frame is constructed of two vertical parallelly interconnected square tube profiles, in which the mentioned interconnection exists of suitably mounted, in cross-section constructed T-profiles, in which the bottom side of the mentioned basic frame is supplied with a pair of irregular L-profiles.
The advantage of this is a solid and strong basic frame that can also be put somewhere on the floor. Then the device according to the invention is further developed in such a way, that the mentioned telescopic and on a suitable height snap connecting suspension frame with suspension hooks is constructed of suitably placed parallel L-profiles, which are telescopic and fitted and adjusted to the inner dimensions of the mentioned square tube profiles and that the top side of the mentioned square tube profiles lock or snap connection facilities are applied, in which the mentioned suspension hooks are constructed as a reversed strip, which is welded to the top side of the mentioned suspension frame, and that the mentioned lock or snap connection facility is constructed of an element of spring steel, mounted on the top side of the square tube profile of the basic frame and is supplied with a pin which goes through a bore in the square tube profile and the beneath situated L-profile that is also supplied with the same bore and by which in the mentioned L-profile several bores on equidistant distances are applied for the several height-adjustments.
The advantages are, that an efficient telescopic construction is created, which can also be snapped fixed in an economic way on a certain adjustable height.
Furthermore the device according to the invention is further developed in such a way, that the mentioned up to almost right angled hinging fold-out panel consists of a flexural strong rectangular plate with dimensions of approximately 400 x 500mm with a thickness of approximately 10mm and which plate is supplied with recesses on the long side and by means of hinging strip hinges on the square tube profiles of the mentioned basic frame and has a further vertical stop against the body of the mentioned T- profile in order to form a clamping or moment-fixed connection for the mentioned panel. The advantages are, that a square panel (table) is created that is coupled thoroughly moment fixed to the mentioned basic frame.
Furthermore the device according to the invention is further developed in such a way, that the mentioned hinging expandable U-shaped document holder frame with plate near the top of the mentioned basic frame is constructed of a U- shaped circumferential L-profile mounted hingingly to the top side of the square tube profiles of the basic frame with a square plate of approximately 2mm, in which an angle is removed in order to create an opening and on the bottom side the U-shaped document holder frame is supplied with an expanding strip supporting on a distance block of the mentioned basic frame.
The advantage of this is, that a solid and easy to handle document holder is created.
Finally the device according to the invention is further developed in such a way, that the mentioned material is aluminium.
The advantage of this is, that a light construction is created, which can quickly be set up or made of the existing light aluminium profiles .
The invention will now be further described in a preferred embodiment with reference to the annexed drawings, in which:
Fig. 1 is a view in perspective projection of the device according to a preferred embodiment of the invention, in. which it is hooked-on to a panel of a dotted indicated door of for example a measurement and control cabinet; Fig. 2 is a view in perspective projection of the device of figure 1 in folded position; Fig. 3 is a cross-section over the line III in figure 1; Fig. 4 is a cross-section over the line IV in figure 1; and Fig. 5 is a cross-section over the line V in figure 1 of the locking device of the telescopic suspension frame in the mentioned basic frame. Figure 1 shows in perspective projection the device 1 according to the preferred embodiment of the invention. The device 1 concerns a portable hook-on frame, that is constructed as a basic frame 2, a telescopic suspension frame 3 with suspension hooks 4 constructed as reversed strips, a close to the bottom hinging folding panel 5, a close to the top hinging expandable U-shaped document holder frame 6 with plate 7, in which an angle 8 is kept free in order to fasten the panels in folded position by means of Velcro 9. The basic frame 2 is supplied with distance blocks 10, 11 with T-shaped cross-section and are placed in a suitable way. In the telescopic suspension frame 3 a distance block 12 is applied of which the shape of the cross-section is less relevant. The hinging expandable U-shaped document holder frame 6 is supplied
with a hinging attached expanding strip 14 at position 13, which in itself rests on the distance block 11. The whole is applied by means of suspension hooks 4 to the panel 15 (indicated dotted) of a door (inner side) of for example a control cabinet (not indicated) .
Figure 2 shows a view in perspective projection in folded position of the device according to the preferred embodiment of the invention. The numbering of the parts is as those in figure 1. Figure 2 shows, that the basic frame 2 with accessories can be put on the floor by the applied irregular L-profiles 16, which also serve for partly supporting the hinging foldable panel 5, for which this panel is applied with recesses 17 in order to grip around the posts of the basic frame 2. At 18 between the panel 5 and the basic frame 2 hinges have been applied, which are constructed in the usual way.
At 19 also in the usual way hinges are applied between the basic frame 2 and the hinging expandable U- shaped document holder frame 6 with plate 7. 20 Shows the lock or snap connection device for adjusting the suspension frame 3 in height with regard to the basic frame 2.
Figure 3 shows a cross-section over the line III in figure 1. The basic frame 2 is at the bottom side provided with an irregular L-profile 16, that also serves for partly supporting the hinging folding panel 5. The situation and specifically the positioning of the distance block 10 as T- profile for the adjustment of the mentioned panel 5 of, for example MDF, is clearly shown. Figure 4 shows a cross section over the line IV in figure 1. This figure shows the hinging expandable U-shaped document holder frame 6 with plate 7 of plastic or MDF. The interconnection can be achieved by pop rivets 21.
Figure 5 shows a cross-section over the line V of figure 1. Here, it concerns the lock or snap connection device for the height adjustment of the suspension frame 3 in relation to the basic frame 2. A spring steel element 22 is connected to the basic frame 2 by means of one or more pop rivets 23. By means of a pin 24 attached to the spring steel element 22, going through bores in the profiles of frames 2 and 3, the suspension frame 3 is fixed in relation to the basic frame 2.
Finally, it will be appreciated, that the preferred embodiment of the invention has been described and that further modifications are possible without leaving the scope of this patent document.
