Abstract

L'invention concerne des procédés et des compositions de production pour la polypeptides présentant différentes propriétés de matériau. Ces procédés font appel à un moyen pour amorcer la polymérisation d'un monomère de N-carboxyanhydride (NCA) d'acide aminé par la combinaison du monomère avec un métallacycle contenant un groupe amido, pour la production de copolypeptides séquencés amphiphiles à auto-assemblage et des protocoles associés pour l'addition de N-carboxyanhydrides (NCA) d'acides aminés à fonction oligo(éthylèneglycol) à des chaînes de polyaminoacides. Des procédés additionnels font appel à des moyens pour l'addition d'un groupe terminal à la terminaison carboxy d'une chaîne de polyaminoacides par réaction d'un amide d'acide aminé protégé par alloc avec un complexe ligand donneur/métal de transition, aux fins de former un métallacycle amido amidate pouvant être utilisé dans d'autres réactions de polymérisation. L'invention concerne en outre de nouvelles compositions qui s'utilisent dans la synthèse et la mise au point de peptides comprenant des métallacycles à cinq et six chaînons contenant un groupe amido et des copolypeptides séquencés.
