  • vitamin E has anti-inflammatory effects on dogs with dermic conditions. This vitamin was successfully supplemmented to animals affected with Discoide Eritematose Lupus, Dermathomiositis and Nigricans Acantosis.
  • Vitamin K Its most known function is the role it plays in blood coagulation. This is of particular importance in animals that for various reasons have a low bacterial count in their large intestine, as is the case with those animals subjected to extensive antibiotic treatments.
  • Vitamin C It is necessary for the hydro-oxidation of proline and lisine in the process of colagen formation, colagen being it the main component of conjunctive, bone and dentine tissues. It has been proved that animals subject to stress raise their need for this vitamin. It is considered as an anti-stress vitamin by human athletes.
  • Tiamine or B1 It plays a part in the processes of decarboxylization and transcetation in the utilization of carbohydrates for the obtention of energy and their transformation in lipides. It is commonly used for the treatment of disorders of the central nervous system, basically due to this system's dependency on a constant source of carbohydrates as a means of energy supply.
  • Pirodixine or B6 plays a central role in the metabolism of aminoacids, hemoglobine synthesis and the convertion of triptophane into niacine.
  • Biotine It plays a role in some phases of fat acid synthesis, non-essential amino acids and purine metabolism.
  • Panthotenic Acid It is found in all living tissue. It is through the process of phosphorus assimilation that it forms a co-enzime that is essential in the metabolism of carbo-hydrates, protidees and lipidees.
  • Nicotinamide It is a part of two co-enzimes: nucleotid adenin nicotinamide and phosphate dinucleotid adenin nicotinamide that play a role in the transportaion of hidrogenions in cell oxidation reactions.
  • Zinc It is amply distributed in the organism as a component of numerous metaloenzimes; it is essential for cell immunity and reproduction. Its presence in food is reduced by numerous factors such as high calcium and phosphorus levels. Among the most usual signs of zinc defficiency we find growth retardation, testicular atrophy, immune system malfunction, conjuntivitis, skin and hair mantle lesions. Some dermathosis have been identified to be respondent to Zinc supplement. Some canine breeds have shown hereditary zinc absortion disorder. Oral zinc supplement leads to lesion resolution.
  • Cobalt It is a component of the B1 vitamin. Iron. It is essential in the formation of hemoglobin, an eritrocite pigment to which oxigen adheres for transportation through the organism.
  • Manganese It is found as part of hard tissues and as a catalyst of numerous organic reactions.
  • Iodine It is fundamental for thyroid well functioning, which is of utmost importance due to the role that the thyroid gland plays in the control of body metabolism.
  • Lisine Dietetic need of Lisine increases as the quantity of proteins also increase in the diet. This side effect is a result of imbalances and antagonisms involving Lisine. It is the main missing amino acid in animal food that is based on cereals. Moreover, lisine contained in food is often degraded during elaboration processes.
  • Methionine As one of the sulphured amino acids, is essential for metabolism, the hair mantle as well as the formation of nails. It is often missing in animal food.

Abstract

Cette invention concerne l'obtention d'un produit offrant un complément adapté à l'alimentation pour chiens, tout en servant à couper la soif sous forme de solution pour boissons. La concentration de ses composants rend possible son ingestion ad libitum en grande quantité sans danger ni risque d'intoxication, tout en apportant une solution pour la prévention de la maladie de la «dengue» grâce à l'addition d'un larvicide biologique à sa formule.
