A system of using cyber currencies in real commerce through unifying the currencies, comprising: a communication means transmitting a cyber certification number, membership information, an identification number and information of a member store, and purchase information by use of a cyber card; a certification number administration system granting unified ID and forming a branch to a pertinent site; a profit distribution module processing data base of the member store and distributing profits to affiliated sites; a member store administration system administrating discount information and transaction information; a cyber currencies administration system administrating and unifying all kinds of cyber currencies issued by the affiliated sites; an analysis module for searching and revising data of membership and cyber currencies information and data of discount information; and a unification control server controlling overall control means and information.

Description

System for Using Cyber Currencies in Real Commerce through Unifying the Currencies
Field of the Invention
The present invention relates to a system for unifying cyber currencies of Internet and using the cyber currencies in real commerce. Particularly the present invention relates to a system through which a member can substitute the cyber currencies for an amount of a certain rate of a member store when the member purchases goods and gets service at the member store in real commerce.
Background of the Invention
Cyber currencies a member can receive in the Internet site exists in a variety of types. At present, for example, a member of an Internet site receives cyber currencies like cyber money, currencies, point, mileage, and so on, and uses the cyber currencies in the site. Cyber currencies including cyber money, currencies, mileage, point, and so on, defined in the present invention, means all kinds of currencies that an Internet site gives or cuts down in case that the Internet site requires some acts of the user, and the user does a satisfactory act.
At present, in case of using the cyber currencies on Internet, the usage of cyber currencies is extremely restricted that a member can purchase an item only that is sold at a site which has given the currencies, h recent years, there has been attempts of using cyber currencies in common between affiliate sites by making a hub site, but they cannot meet explosive increase of Internet using population and frequency, customers' interest accompanied by the increase, and economic activities connecting off-line with on-line. In other words, in case the affiliate sites include a plurality of electronic commerce sites and charged contents, there have been attempts of expanding a range of goods purchasable and services usable by making cyber currencies means for payment, but the attempts result in failure to overcome the limitations.
At present Internet sites, furthermore, cyber currencies, in case of satisfying necessary conditions, can be used in real commerce by making the cyber currencies paid in cash or exchanged for spot goods. It is, however, nearly impossible for a member actually to be paid in cash or exchange the cyber currencies for spot goods because the site requires an amount of cyber currencies that is actually nearly impossible to accumulate in the virtual space.
Cyber currencies granted to a member on Internet at present has a variety of types as stated above. For example, cyber currencies are classified into cyber money, currencies, mileage, point, and so on, which are circulation means respectively only at the correspondent sites. Furthermore, coupons have a lot of limitations, although they are issued to members with a certain discount rate for purchasing price, to be used in real commerce, because the coupons cannot meet a user's requirements on the spot in that a member can use, after printing out them, the coupons only at stores which have issued them, and it is difficult for a user to locate a member store for the purpose of use of the coupons.
An Internet user generally joins a lot of sites. It is, therefore, difficult for him to catch cyber currencies of all sites he joined, and it frequently happens he cannot remember his ID at a site he joined. These inconveniences eventually result in limiting use of the cyber currencies.
In sites granting cyber currencies, sites serving coupon information, and all kinds of shopping mall sites, there has been no solution for converting the cyber currencies into currencies of real commerce and for profitability in business models corresponding to it. Accordingly the present inventor has developed a system of the present invention by improving conventional systems of cyber currencies which have been operated partially on Internet, which unifies all cyber currencies that is possible for Internet users to accumulate at all sites he joined, enables the users to substitute the cyber currencies for an amount of a member store's discount rate when he purchases goods and gets service in real commerce, and provides profit to all enterprises which adopt the present system of the invention.
Object of the invention
It is an object of the present invention to provide a system for granting a unique authentication number to each member, unifying information of individual materials and cyber currencies of the member at all Internet sites the member has joined, and using practically the unified information in real commerce.
It is further an object of the present invention to provide a system for granting substantially a lot of benefits to netizens by accumulating all cyber currencies dispersed at Internet sites they joined, and enabling them to use the currencies in real commerce.
It is further an object of the present invention to provide a system for activating real commerce and presenting a profit distribution model by making netizens' cyber currencies used valuably in real commerce, with the model being absent at all kinds of Internet sites at present and needed desperately by cyber currencies issuing enterprises, coupon issuing enterprises, shopping mall enterprises, and so on.
It is further an object of the present invention to provide a system for users to obtain discount information of all affiliate sites on the spot in contrast to a limited role of the existing discount coupons of which information is provided partially by each site and which is used only at an enterprise of an issuer of the coupons. It is further an object of the present invention to provide a system for members to use the discount information conveniently at every time and place like a credit card by possessing a cyber card, with the information being useful in real commerce, in contrast to inconvenience of the existing discount service in which a member should lay out a schedule and print out a discount coupon at a correspondent site previously for using the coupon at a correspondent member store. It is further an object of the present invention to provide a system for providing clearness of selling and for applying in product planning or business administration by computerizing information of transacted particulars, selling, and consumer's age, location, sex, etc. by use of cyber currencies in real commerce.
It is further an object of the present invention to provide a system for maximizing a real win- win effect for member stores-affiliate sites-consumers (members) by the member stores' increase of an effect of associated marketing and advertisement and increase of selling through security of market to all netizens who joined Internet sites, by the affiliate sites' creation of income source of being supplied with commission whenever a real commerce by the member occurs, and by the members who are consumer's getting a discount when they purchase tangible/intangible goods through unification of all currencies on Internet.
It is further an object of the present invention to provide a system for solving the absence of income source rising in cyber currency granting sites, discounting information serving/coupon issuing sites, and shopping mall sites heretofore by charging a commission for real transaction of members. These and further objects and advantages of the present invention will be apparent in light of the following detailed description in connection with the drawings.

A system of the present invention for using cyber currencies in real commerce through unifying the currencies comprises a communication medium transmitting a cyber authentication number, membership information, an identification number, information of a member store, and purchase information by use of the member's cyber card when the member transacts tangible/intangible goods in real commerce; an authentication number administrating means for granting an integrated ID of an identifier on Internet, and forming a branch to a correspondent site with the cyber authentication number, the member store's identification number, information of a member store, and purchase information transmitted by the administrating means; a profit distributing module processing database of the member store in response to transaction of the member store, and distributing profits to affiliate sites according to currencies used; a member store administrating means for administrating a discount rate, statistics and transaction information, with the means including a robot periodically collecting information of the discount rate; a cyber currency administrating means for administrating and unifying all kinds of non-fixed forms of cyber currencies issued by the affiliate sites by use of proper criteria; an analysis module for each affiliate site's searching a database, of members for information of the members' personal data and cyber currencies, revising the information, searching a database of member stores for discount information of the member store, and revising the discount, with the sites doing above for itself by use of information transmitted by an integrated administration server; and an integrated administration server administrating overall administrating means and information.

Detailed Description of the Embodiment of the Invention
The present invention relates to a system in which an Internet user can substitute cyber currencies acquired in virtual space for an amount of a member store's discount rate when the member purchases goods and gets service at the member store in real commerce. The present invention relates to a system which enables each member to inquire obviously information of all cyber currencies of plural sites he joined, to grasp at a glance information of member store which joined plural sites, and to distributes commission impartially caused by substituting cyber currencies acquired in virtual space for an amount of a member store's discount rate when the member purchases goods and gets service at the member store in real commerce, which results in promoting commercial transactions through unifying the cyber currencies dispersing at a variety of Internet sites .
Major terminologies used in the specification of the present invention are defined as followings:
cyber currency: it means all kinds of currencies which an Internet site gives or cuts down when an Internet site user, in case the Internet site requires some acts of the user, do a satisfactory acts, including cyber money, currencies, mileage, point, discount coupon and so on; site: it means every place having an address and serving on Internet; cyber authentication number: it means an identification number given by a system of the present invention and with which an Internet user is recognized as unique; affiliate site: it means all kinds of enterprises having qualifications for membership of the system of the present invention with the enterprise providing service of a form of coupon on on-line or off-line, including all sites related to the present invention as well as sites giving cyber currencies or managing shopping malls; real commerce: it means transacting tangible/intangible goods or service between consumers and member stores in real life. member store: it means an enterprise providing benefits as much as a discount rate agreed in a contract for a consumer holding a cyber card, with the enterprise being a discount coupon issuing enterprise which provides tangible/intangible goods or service, or a site enterprise which manages a shopping mall; off-line: it means a real world of non-network; on-line: it means a space of network including Internet, communication, and so on; cyber card: it means a real card with which exchange of information can be carried out to meet the standards of the system of the present invention, and which a member carries like a credit card so that a charge can be discounted according to a member store's discount rate at the member.
Figure 1 is a block diagram of a system of the present invention for unifying and using cyber currencies in real commerce. A system of the present invention for using cyber currencies in real commerce through unifying the currencies comprises a communication medium for transmitting a cyber authentication number, membership information, an identification number, information of a member store, and purchase information by use of the member's cyber card when the member transacts tangible/intangible goods in real commerce; an authentication number administrating means for granting an integrated ID of the only identifier on Internet, and forming a branch to a correspondent site with the cyber authentication number, the member store's identification number, information of a member store, and purchase information transmitted by the administrating means; a profit distributing module processing database of the member store in response to transaction of the member store, and distributing profits to affiliate sites according to currencies used; a member store administrating means for administrating a discount rate, statistics and transaction information, with the means including a robot periodically collecting information of a discount rate; a cyber currency administrating means administrating and unifying all kinds of non-fixed forms of cyber currencies issued by the affiliate sites by use of proper criterion; an analysis module for each affiliate site's searching a database of members for information of a member's personal data and cyber currencies, revising the information, searching a data base of member stores for discount information of the member store, and revising the discount, with the sites doing above for itself by use of information transmitted by an integrated administration server; and an integrated administration server for administrating overall administrating means and information.
In a system of the present invention, general information of cyber authentication number, a member store's identification number, and purchase information are formed, in case a member purchases goods or gets service in real commerce, by use of the member's cyber card and the member store's communication medium, with the general information being transmitted to an integrated administration server 4. Shown in Figure 1, a member store, in case a member presents a cyber card, transmits to the integrated administration server 4 through the inquiry/approval network 3 the member's cyber authentication number, information of the member, the member store's identification number, information of the member store, and general purchase information. For above, the member store 2 is possessed of means for deciphering information of the member's cyber card and communication medium for forming a file of the member's cyber authentication number and information of the member deciphered from the cyber card, the member store's identification number, information of the member store inputted by the member store 2, and general purchase information with the file being transmitted to the integrated administration 4 server through inquiry/approval network.
The authentication number administrating means 42 forms a branch to a correspondent site with the cyber authentication number, information of the member, identification number of the member store, information of the member store, and general purchase information transmitted by the communication medium. Thereafter, the authentication number administrating means 42 grants an integrated ID of the only identifier on Internet. When information of the member, a cyber authentication number of the member, information of the member store, an identification number of the member store, and purchase information are transmitted to the integrated administration server through the inquiry/approval network, the authentication number administrating means 42 forms the branch to the affiliate site 5 by use of the cyber authentication number. For above, the authentication number administrating means 42 has a function of issuing a cyber authentication number and reading a correspondent affiliate site on the database of integrated members 47 by use of the cyber authentication number transmitted by the member store 2 in case of a new member's joining.
The profit distributing module 41 of the integrated administration server 4 processes database of the member store in response to transaction of the member store, and distributes profits to the affiliate sites under the agreement of profit distribution. The profit distributing module 41 determines an allotment of each affiliate site 5 according to information of usage of the member stores, and transmits information of usage of the member stores to the sites. Furthermore the present system constructs database of member stores including information of transacted particulars so that the database will be used as information of several statistical data on consumption pattern and information of selling of a group of business types in future in connection with real transaction. The member store 2 is paid an amount of money from which an amount of discount rate (agreed beforehand) is deducted for a charge of real transaction, with the deduction being made according to an amount of cyber currencies available, with the amount of cyber currencies available being transmitted through the inquiry/approval network 3 by the integrated administration server 4.
The member store administrating means 43, including a robot collecting periodically information of discount rate of each member store, administrates discount rate of each member store, statistics, and transaction information. If a cyber authentication number of a member, information of the member, identification number of a member store, information of the member store, and purchase information is transmitted to the integrated administration server 4 through the inquiry/approval network, the authentication number administrating means 42 forms a branch to an affiliate site joined by the member by use of the member's authentication number, and the member store administrating means foams a branch to an affiliate site joined by the member store. The member store administrating means 43 has a function of collecting new/amended information of a member store 5, and renewing the database of integrated member stores 45 every unit hour. The means 43 further has a function of reading a correspondent affiliate site 5 on the database of integrated member stores 45 by use of the authentication number of the member store, with the number transmitted by the member store 2.
All types of non-fixed forms of currencies issued by each cyber currency granting site of affiliate sites are integrated and administrated by the cyber currency administrating means by use of appropriate criteria. Cyber currency is a kind of currency which an Internet site gives or cuts down when Internet site users, in case that the Internet site requires some acts of the users, do a satisfactory acts, which exists as cyber money, currencies, mileage, point, discount coupon, and so on. Therefore it is necessary to unify the cyber currencies for the purpose of using them in real commerce as means of payment for the amount of discount rate. Integration of cyber money, currencies, mileage, point, and so on, which have different types of cyber currencies, can be made properly by an agreement among all sites. Furthermore, a site of non-issuing of cyber currencies can manage cyber currencies according to the present system. Cyber currency administrating means 44 collects information of the currencies transmitted by each affiliate site, and stores the database of integrated member stores 45 and cyber currencies 46 with information related to a status of usage of member stores, with the related information including designations of transaction member stores, transaction prices, an amount of cyber currencies used, and so on.
The analysis module 51 searches a database of members for information of a member's personal data and revises the information for itself by use of information transmitted by an integrated administration server. Furthermore, the module 51 searches its own database of currencies and member stores for discount information of the cyber currencies and the member store, and revises the discount information for itself by use of information transmitted by an integrated administration server. The analysis module 51a of the affiliate site inquires, if the correspondent site is found to be a currency giving site, detailed information of members on its own currency database 52a and members database 53a by use of the cyber authentication number and information of members, and transmits to the integrated administration server 4 an amount of usable currencies and identification number of the site. The analysis module 51b inquires, if the correspondent site of the member store is a coupon issuing site, information of a member store 2 on its own database of member stores by use of the authentication number of the member store, and transmits discount rate agreed beforehand to the integrated administration server 4. The analysis module 51 performs, if the affiliate site 5 is a currency giving enterprise and possesses a member store as well, above two transmissions in parallel.
The integrated administration server 4 of the present invention administrates overall the profit distributing module, the authentication number administrating means, the member store administrating means, the cyber currency administrating means, database of integrated member stores, database of cyber currency, and database of integrated members.
Figure 2 is a block diagram schematizing a process model of a system of the present invention for unifying and using cyber currencies in real commerce, and Figure 3 is a flow chart of the present invention for unifying and using cyber currencies in real commerce. Referring to Figures 1 and 2, the whole business flow is described below.
A user presents a cyber card offered by the system of the present invention to a member store when the member who wants to use cyber currencies purchases tangible/intangible goods at the member store. As inquiring a credit card, the member store creates information related to the user who wants to purchase, information related to the member store at present, and information related to purchase through a communication medium with which the member store is equipped. The created information is transmitted to an integrated administration server, and the information of purchase is collected in the integrated administration server. The integrated administration server analyzes this information, and transmits the information to each means which controls related information including discount rate of the member store, with the means further controlling related information that includes cyber currencies of the user. And then the integrated administration server extracts each of the information refined by the means. By use of the information extracted in this way, the integrated administration server catches hold of purchased particulars of the member store and an available range of cyber currencies, and then finds the total of an amount of cyber currencies used, in which the total is pertinently found through final computing on the basis of a distribution of cyber currencies and an amount of currencies. The integrated administration server stores respectively database of integrated member stores, database of cyber currency, and database of integrated members with all information related to status of usage of member stores. And then the server transmits results of that to each of the affiliate site's system, and notifies to the member store information of approval of an amount of currencies used and limit of currencies through the communication medium of the member store. The member store determines discount rate according to the notified information and receives payment for an amount of money left with the exception of discount money by cash or credit card.
Process through which an Internet user becomes a member of the system of the present invention and makes practical application of a system of the present invention is described as below.
An Internet user joins a cyber currency site, a member store discount information site, shopping mall site, cyber currency giving site, and the other sites which grants cyber currencies on Internet. The user gets all kinds of services provided by them, and receives cyber currencies as compensation for that. All sites which would use a system of the present invention agree on a discount contract with member stores. The member stores provide an integrated administration server with information of purchase status, in case a member requires use of cyber currencies with the occurrence of purchase in real commerce. The integrated administration server, as receiving the information of purchase status, provides the member store with information of cyber currencies or discount rate, and approves the use of the cyber currencies. A member benefits by getting a discount within the limit of his cyber currencies at the member store. The integrated administration server is provided with information of discount rate by member store discount rate information sites, and provided with information of a member's cyber currencies by cyber currency sites.
The present invention can be easily carried out by an ordinary skilled person in the art. Many modifications and changes may be deemed to be within the scope of the present invention defined in the following claims.

Claims

What is claimed is:
1. A system for using cyber currencies in real commerce through unifying the currencies comprising: a communication medium for transmitting cyber authentication number, membership information, identification number, information of member store, and purchase information by use of cyber card of the member when the member transacts tangible/intangible goods in real commerce; an authentication number administrating means for granting integrated ID to an identifier on Internet, and forming a branch to a correspondent site with the cyber authentication number, identification number of the member store, information of the member store, and purchase information transmitted by the administrating means; a profit distributing module for processing database of the member store in response to transaction of the member store, and distributing profits to affiliate sites according to currencies used; a member store administrating means for administrating discount rate, statistics and transaction information, with the means including a robot periodically collecting information of a discount rate; a cyber currency administrating means for administrating and unifying all kinds of non-fixed forms of cyber currencies issued by the affiliate sites by use of proper criteria; an analysis module for searching a database of members for information of a member's personal data and cyber currencies in each affiliate site, revising the information, searching a database of member stores for discount information of the member store, and revising the discount, with the sites doing above for itself by use of information transmitted by an integrated administration server; and an integrated administration server for administrating the administrating means and information above.

The system for using cyber currencies in real commerce through unifying the currencies in claim 1, wherein said communication medium comprises a reading means for reading the cyber card; and an inquiry/approval network for forming and transmitting cyber authentication number of the member, information of the member, identification number of the member store, information of the member store, and information of purchase status which are read in the cyber card.

The system for using cyber currencies in real commerce through unifying the currencies in claim 1, wherein said member store transmits cyber authentication number of the member, information of the member, identification number of the member store, information of the member store, and information of purchase status to the integrated administration server through the inquiry/approval network.
4. The system for using cyber currencies in real commerce through unifying the currencies in claim 1, wherein said profit distribution module determines an amount of profits distributed to each affiliate site, and transmits to the affiliate site an amount of currencies used in each affiliate site and state of usage of the member stores.
5. The system for using cyber currencies in real commerce through unifying the currencies in claim 4, wherein said profit distribution module constructs a database of member stores including information of transacted particulars, with the database intended to be used as information of several statistical data on consumption pattern and selling of a group of business types in future in connection with real transaction.
6. The system for using cyber currencies in real commerce through unifying the currencies in claim 1, wherein said member store administrating means includes a robot function of collecting new/amended information of a member store periodically and renewing the database of integrated member stores every unit hour for minimizing steps of inquiry, and finds out a correspondent affiliate site on the database of integrated member stores by use of the authentication number of the member store transmitted by the member store.

The system for using cyber currencies in real commerce through unifying the currencies in claim 1, wherein said cyber currency administrating means collects information of the currencies transmitted by each affiliate site, and stores information related to a state of usage of member stores in the database of integrated member stores and the database of cyber currency, with the related information including designations of transaction member stores, transaction prices, an amount of cyber currencies used.

The system for using cyber currencies in real commerce through unifying the currencies in claim 1, wherein said analysis module, if the correspondent site is found to be a currency giving site, searches its own database of currency and members for detailed information of members by use of the cyber authentication number and information of the member, and transmits an amount of usable currencies and identification number of the site to the integrated administration server

The system for using cyber currencies in real commerce through unifying the currencies in claim 1, wherein said analysis module, if the affiliate site is a currency giving enterprise, searches its own database of member stores for information of a member store by use of the authentication number of the member store, and transmits discount rate agreed beforehand to the integrated administration server.
10. The system for using cyber currencies in real commerce through unifying the currencies in claim 1, wherein said analysis module performs in parallel two processes, one of which comprising the steps of searching its own database of member stores for information of the member store by use of the authentication number of the member store and transmitting discount rate agreed beforehand to the integrated administration server, the other of which comprising the steps of searching its own database of member stores for information of the member store by use of the authentication number of the member store and transmitting discount rate agreed beforehand to the integrated administration server.
11. A process for using cyber currencies in real commerce through unifying the currencies comprising the steps of: presenting a cyber card to a member store when a member who wants to use cyber currencies purchases tangible/intangible goods at the member store; transmitting information related to the member who required the purchase through a communication medium with which the member store is equipped and information related to the member store at present and information related to purchase, as inquiry of a credit card, to an integrated administration server through the communication medium; transmitting to an integrated administration server information including discount rate of the member store and information including cyber currencies of the member; extracting the information; catching hold of purchased particulars of the member store and an available range of cyber currencies, and finding the total of an amount of cyber currencies used and distribution of cyber currencies by use of said information extracted; storing database of integrated member stores, database of cyber currency, and database of integrated members respectively with all information related to the status of usage of member stores; transmitting results of above to each of the affiliate site's system; notifying approval of limit of currencies and information of approval of an amount of currencies used to the member store through the communication medium in the member store; determining discount rate according to the notified information; and receiving payment for an amount of money from which an amount of money coming under the discount rate.
