Abstract

L'invention concerne un système et un procédé servant à mener une enchère au moyen d'un réseau informatique. Ce système comprend un serveur d'enchères servant à exécuter des opérations d'enchères, au moins une interface d'acheteur couplée au serveur d'enchères, au moins une interface de vendeur couplée au serveur d'enchères, un module d'enchère recevant l'entrée d'une information d'enchère comprenant les prix d'enchère d'acheteurs (ou de vendeurs) et un module de réduction automatique de prix servant à diminuer automatiquement (ou augmenter) un prix d'enchère si l'offre n'est pas formulée par l'acheteur (ou le vendeur) pendant une durée prédéterminée. Ce procédé consiste à (1) recevoir l'entrée d'une information de début d'enchère par le serveur d'enchères, telle qu'un prix de début d'enchère émanant du vendeur (ou de l'acheteur), (2) transférer, par le serveur d'enchère, l'information de début d'enchère à l'interface de l'acheteur (ou du vendeur), (3) diminuer (ou augmenter) le prix de début d'enchère d'un montant prédéterminé si une offre n'est pas formulée par l'acheteur (ou le vendeur) pendant une durée prédéterminée , (4) recevoir une information d'enchère des acheteurs (ou des vendeurs) par le serveur d'enchères et (5) sélectionner un enchérisseur par le serveur d'enchères.
