Abstract

The invention relates to a system for detecting a liquid level, wherein the electrodes (2, 3) of a sensor (S) are disposed in the area of the liquid level to be monitored and the electrodes (2, 3) are linked with an electronic evaluation circuit by which the change of resistance that occurs between the electrodes (2, 3) when they contact the liquid is convertible to an evaluation signal. A circuit element (Q1; Q2) signals that the level is surpassed, the sensor (S) being connected to the circuit element (Q1; Q2) together with a timer (R2, C1) so that when the supply current (U) for the evaluation circuit is switched on in an interval predetermined by means of the timer (R2, C1), a signal is output even when the electrodes (2, 3) do not contact the liquid.
