Abstract

THE INVENTION PROVIDES A SIMPLE AND COST-EFFECTIVE WATER PURIFICATION SYSTEM WHICH IS TYPICALLY IN THE FORM OF A STORAGE FILTER. THE SYSTEM COMPRISES AT LEAST ONE FILTER CARTRIDGE (FC2), A DISCHARGE OUTLET (TP) ADAPTED TO DISCHARGE FILTERED WATER, AND A FLOW THROUGH THE DISCHARGE OUTLET. THE FLOW SENSOR ARRANGEMENT COMPRISES A PAIR OF SENSORS ARRANGED SO THAT WHEN THE DISCHARGE OUTLET IS OPENED AND WATER FLOWS THROUGH THE OUTLET AND BETWEEN THE SENSORS, THE SENSORS BECAME ELECTRICALLY CONNECTED TO THE ELECTRONIC CONTROL PANEL (EC) AND THE WATER FLOW CAN BE MEASURED BASED ON THE TIME DURING WHICH THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTION IS ESTABLISHED, AND THE STATUS OF THE SYSTEM (IN PARTICULAR THE END OF LIFE OF THE FILTER CARTRIDGE) CAN BE MONITORED BASED ON THE MEASURED WATER FLOW.(FIG 1)
