Abstract

Dans ce dispositif de connexion (1) pour fibres optiques, utilisables dans un milieu pollué et comprenant un premier connecteur (2) destiné à être associé à au moins une première fibre optique (16) et un second connecteur (3) destiné à être associé à au moins une seconde fibre optique (25) devant être raccordée à la première fibre, l'un (3) des deux connecteurs (2, 3) porte une réserve (36) d'un fluide ayant un indice de réfraction égal à celui des fibres optiques, et au moins un moyen de pompage (37) qui est relié à ladite réserve de fluide et qui, en service, est actionnable en réponse aux mouvements de connexion et déconnexion des deux connecteurs (2, 3) pour injecter, à chaque mouvement de connexion/déconnexion, du fluide dans un espace (58) englobant les extrémités frontales des deux fibres se rapprochant ou s'écartant l'une de l'autre.
