Abstract

According to the invention, the parameters are measured using conventional measuring devices, especially analog measuring devices, whereby the measured variable is visualized on a display. The display is detected using a digital camera. The detected image is digitized and sent to an evaluation unit, for example via the Internet. Said measured variable is reconstructed and displayed in the evaluation unit using a pattern recognition software. The use of a camera also makes it possible to simultaneously monitor several displays or the surrounding area of the display.
