Abstract

The invention concerns a pair of swim fins for breaststroke or various movements in an aquatic medium, exhibiting minimum resistance thereby enabling the free movement of legs and a support for the breaststroke kick and the leg closing movement. Each fin consists of an inner boot (1) which maintains the foot and a round-shaped upper (2) fixed thereto capable of being folded or blocked depending on the applied forces and orientations. The pair of fins is particularly suited for learning how to swim, enables a lifesaver to pedal backwards, pedalling and various aerobic exercises, and breast stroke swimming with fins while keeping the head above the water surface.

Description

The present invention relates to a pair of fins which, due to its design, helps in learning to swim, rescue, practice aquatic exercises and allows a brewer to increase his speed while respecting the traditional scissor movement. .
The problems posed by traditional fins are as follows:
- l'impossibilité d'effectuer des ciseaux (mouvements des jambes lors de la pratique de la brasse) pour la plus grande majorité des nageurs;- the impossibility of performing scissors (movements of the legs during the breaststroke) for the vast majority of swimmers;
- la difficulté à marcher dans l'eau peu profonde, sinon en marche arrière, afin d'atteindre une profondeur suffisante avant de pouvoir s'allonger pour nager;- difficulty walking in shallow water, if not in reverse, in order to reach a sufficient depth before being able to lie down to swim;
- l'utilisation des palmes traditionnelles se réduit soit ..à des battements de pieds, soit à une ondulation des jambes qui requiert dans tous les cas une position allongée, ce qui impose en partie l' immersion de la tête ce qui engendre des problèmes d' inconfort respiration, ( cheveux mouillés, entre autres ) ;- the use of traditional fins is reduced either .. to kicking of the feet, or to an undulation of the legs which in all cases requires an elongated position, which in part imposes the immersion of the head which causes problems breathing discomfort, (wet hair, among others);
- la grande difficulté a maintenir une position verticale dans l'eau profonde. En effet, la conception de la voilure des palmes traditionnelles n'est pas assez rigide pour effectuer une poussée efficace de la jambe et offre une résistance pénalisante à sa remontée. D'autre part, elles exigeraient une dépense d' énergie importante et un équilibre exceptionnel pour maintenir la position verticale d'un nageur qui tenterait de les utiliser pour cet exercice auquel elles ne sont pas adaptées. ( exemple d' un nageur-sauveteur qui doit non seulement nager en arrière en tirant une personne, mais garder souvent une position relevée et une bonne assise afin de garder la tête de la victime hors de l'eau et avoir une certaine liberté de ses bras );- great difficulty in maintaining a vertical position in deep water. Indeed, the design of the traditional fins blade is not rigid enough to perform an effective push of the leg and offers a penalizing resistance to its ascent. On the other hand, they would require a significant expenditure of energy and an exceptional balance to maintain the vertical position of a swimmer who would try to use them for this exercise to which they are not adapted. (example of a lifeguard who must not only swim backwards while pulling a person, but often keep an upright position and a good seat in order to keep the victim's head above water and have a certain freedom of his arms );
- les palmes traditionnelles ne permettent pas l'apprentissage de la natation car un nageur novice cherche à flotter en donnant par réflexe des coups de pied vers le bas ;- traditional fins do not allow swimming to be learned because a novice swimmer seeks to float by reflexively kicking downwards;
It has in fact due to its design and its curved shape, four determining characteristics:
- lors de la remontée de la jambe, la voilure se put offrant un minimum de résistance à l'eau ;- during the ascent of the leg, the blade could be put offering a minimum of resistance to water;
- lors de la poussée de la jambe, la voilure se bloque offrant un maximum de résistance à l'eau ; - lors du déplacement extérieur latérale de la jambe, la voilure se plit sous le pied offrant un minimum de résistance à l'eau ;- when pushing the leg, the blade hangs offering maximum resistance to water; - during the lateral lateral movement of the leg, the blade folds under the foot offering a minimum of water resistance;
- lors de la poussée de la jambe l'intérieure ( fermeture du ciseau ) , la voilure se bloque offrant un maximum de résistance à l'eau ; Selon des modes particuliers de réalisation :- when pushing the inner leg (closing the chisel), the blade hangs offering maximum resistance to water; According to particular embodiments:
- le chausson qui maintient le pied est soit de tailles précises soit réglable ;- the slipper which holds the foot is either of precise sizes or adjustable;
Les six dessins annexés illustrent l'invention :- the airfoil is held in the liner, in a fixed or articulated manner (according to a variant not illustrated), and extends over the front and outer part of the foot. Its shape is curved and its outer perimeter is on the same plane as the sole of the slipper. The flexibility of the material used (plastic, elastomer, pvc or others), in relation to the curved shape of the blade, makes it possible to obtain the desired effects which are the folding of the blade when sufficient pressure is exerted on it. outside towards the inside of the curve and blocking of the blade against the outside of the foot when pressure is exerted from the inside towards the outside of the curve. The six accompanying drawings illustrate the invention:
- Figure 3 shows a side view of the palm of the right foot. The airfoil (2) is fixed on the outside of the bootie (1), on the upper of the bootie (1) and on the inside of the point of the bootie (1) at ground level. The relative flexibility of the blade (2) thus allows it to follow the rounded shape of the boot (1). The blade (2) extends on the ground towards the front of the boot (1), it has a rounded shape, like a shell. The blade takes this blocking position when pushing the foot in the water downwards or inwards, thus offering maximum water resistance.
- Figure 5 shows a top view of the airfoil (2) which folds under itself following the movement of the foot in the water outwards and upwards thus offering a minimum of water resistance .
With reference to these drawings, the device comprises a liner (1), of a material suitable for aquatic use, a curved blade (2), fixed or molded to the latter. According to a variant not illustrated, the airfoil can be articulated to the liner to optimize the actions sought in the context of using speed research, among others.
A titre d' exemple non limitatif, le dispositif aura des dimensions de l'ordre de 25 cm par 50 cm.By way of nonlimiting example, the device will have dimensions of the order of 25 cm by 50 cm.
The device according to the invention is particularly intended for learning swimming, rescue, recreational swimming and various aquatic exercises.
