Selon l"invention, il est prévu que, dans une phase de fonctionnement du moteur à combustion interne (10) pendant laquelle la concentration de NOx à l"emplacement du dispositif de mesure sensible aux NOx (18) présente une valeur proche de zéro, un minimum (min) d"une courbe de signal (SK) du dispositif de mesure (18) soit recherché et que le minimum (min) trouvé soit pris comme point zéro pour un étalonnage du dispositif de mesure (18).
