Abstract

A method of fabricating a low-cost, flexible and highly efficient photovoltaic device. The method includes providing a layer of thin film, shaping the thin film into a plurality of parabolic shaped concentrators (5B01), forming an aperture (5B02) in the bottom of each of the parabolic shaped concentrators (5B01), coating the concentrators (5B01) with a reflective material (503), encapsulating the concentrators (5B01) with a transparent insulating layer (505), and depositing an anti-reflective coating (511) on the top of the parabolic shaped concentrators (5B01).
