Abstract

An apparatus for drive of a motorized scooter, said apparatus having an engine (1), centrifugal coupling (2) and chain or belt transition means (4) is arranged in such a way that the driven gear wheel (5) of the chain or belt transition (4) is coupled to the hub (7) of the driven scooter wheel (8) through the free wheel (6). By this arrangement the overturning of the engine e.g. by the down hill riding is limited.

Description

Apparatus for drive of a motorized scooter
The invention relates an apparatus for drive of a motorized scooter where the limitation of the overturning of the engine by the decelation e.g. by the down hill riding is solved.
Discussion of the prior art
To the driving of the rear wheel of motorized scooters combustion engines are used. Transition of the turns from the engine to the rear wheel is secured through the friction drive of a grooved cylinder onto the tyre of the rear wheel or by a direct drive onto the rear wheel through a chain or indented belt. A common disadvantage of these both drives is that the engine is overturned by the down hill riding which is accompanied by the high noisiness of the engine and unnecessary fuel consumption. The other disadvantage is that it is not possible to ride with a turn-off engine. By use of a chain or indented belt the service life of these and other engaged parts is reduced. There are higher requirements for lubrication of the chain drive and it is necessary to adjust the stress of the chain or indented belt.
Summary of the invention
The above mentioned disadventages are substantially eliminated by providing an apparatus for drive of a motorized scooter, said apparatus having an engine, centrifugal coupling, an chain or belt transition means where the driven gear wheel of the chain or belt transition is coupled to the hub of the driven scooter wheel through the free wheel.
By this arrangement according to the invention the overturning of the engine e.g. by the down hill riding is prevented. The njibiness of the engine is lower as well as the fuel and lubrication consumption Also the service life of the chain or indented belt is longer. At the same time it is possible to ride the scooter with a turn-off engine by reflecting of the leg as it is by the non-motorized scooter. Detailed description of the drawings
The preferred embodiment will be more clearly illustrated in reference to the drawings where the fig.1 illustrates a front view of a motorized scooter and fig.2 illustrates a sectional view of the driven wheel.
Detailed description of the preferred embodiment
As it can be ssen from fig.1 on the frame of a motorized scooter an engine 1 is arranged in the front of the driven scooter wheel 8. The engine 8 drives through the centrifugal coupling 2 the driving pinion 3. By means of the chain 4 the driving pinion 3 is coupled with the driven gear wheel 5, which is tightly fastened to the free wheel 6, which is arranged on the hub 7 of the driven scooter wheel 8 of the motorized scooter.
After the start of the engine 1 the free wheel 6 is turning and the centrifugal coupling 2 is disengaged. By the increased turns of the engine 1 the centrifugal coupling 2 is activated and transmits the turning motion onto the driving pinion 3. By means of chain transition to the free wheel 6 the driven wheel 8 of the motorized scooter is turned. By the down hill riding the engine 1 is maintained on the free turns and the centrifugal coupling 2 is disengaged. Chain 4 is in a quiet position and the driven wheel 8 is turning in the free wheel 6.
