Description

CLEANING DEVICE FOR MIRROR
Technical Field
The present invention relates to a cleaning device for mirror, more specifically a device for cleaning a steam clouding up a mirror surface in a bathroom of a house or a public bath.
Background Art
In a bathroom or a public bath, a showerhead which could spray hot water and cold water selectively, a washstand for washing up with a stored water, and a mirror above the washstand for a makeup or shaving are installed. However, in case of taking a shower with hot water or using hot water for some other purpose, as a steam from hot water clouds up a mirror surface and disturbs a reflecting operation of the mirror surface, the mirror loses its own function.
Wiping the mirror surface with a cloth or spraying water on the mirror surface b\ use of the showerhead is generally used as a method for cleaning the steam on the mirror surface.
Cleaning the mirror surface as such, however, is troublesome, and even if the mirror is cleaned, the steam clouds up the mirror surface again before long in a bathroom filled with the steam from hot water.
Disclosure of Invention
The present invention is contemplated to solve the aforementioned problem, and it is an object of the present invention to provide a cleaning device for a mirror eliminating a steam on the surface of the mirror by flowing water on a surface of the mirror from a upper end of the mirror in case that the steam clouds up the surface of the mirror in the bathroom or the public bath, thereby the convenience in taking a shower or having a wash could be improved.
The above object is accomplished by a cleaning device for mirror characterized by comprising: a water-sprinkling pipe installed horizontally to the upper end of the mirror attached to a wall; a connection pipe connecting the water-sprinkling pipe and a water pipe; and a switching valve installed to the connection pipe.
With the cleaning device described above, the steam on the surface of the mirror is cleaned by flowing water from the water-sparkling pipe on the surface of the mirror with the opening of the switching valve.
Brief Description of Drawings
The features and advantages of the present invention will be more described specifically in the following description of preferred embodiments of the invention with reference to the accompanying drawings wherein:
FIG. 1 is a perspective view of a cleaning device for mirror according to the present invention; FIG. 2 is a sectional view of a cleaning device for mirror according to the present invention; and
FIG. 3 is an enlarged view of part A of FIG. 2.
Best Mode for Carrying out the Invention
Reference will now be made in detail to the preferred embodiments of the present invention, examples of which are illustrated in the accompanying drawings. In explaining the present invention, the same names and reference numerals will be given to the same components, and explanations in the same will be omitted. FIG. 1 and FIG. 2 illustrate a perspective view of a cleaning device for mirror according to the present invention and a sectional view of a cleaning device for mirror according to the present invention respectively.
Reference numeral 1 is a mirror installed to a wall above a washstand 2 in a bathroom.
In an upper end of the mirror 2, a water-sprinkling pipe 3 is installed horizontally. In the water-sprinkling pipe 3, both ends in a longitudinal direction is closed, and in a lower part thereof, a slit 3 a for sprinkling water on a surface of the mirror 1 is formed along the longitudinal direction. In the water-sprinkling pipe 3, along one end of the sprinkling slit 3a. as illustrated in FIG. 3. a blade 4 for guiding water sprayed through the sprinkling slit 3a to the surface of the mirror 1 is secured.
The guide blade 4 is secured with an inclination such that a lower end thereof is toward the surface of mirror 1, and thus water flows on the surface of the mirror 1 through a space S formed between the guide blade 4 and the surface of the mirror 1.
Along both side surfaces of the mirror 1 , a stopping seat 5 for preventing the separation of water flowing on the surface of the mirror 1 is attached. And. along a lower part of the mirror 1 , a water-gathering duct 6 is installed, and via a thin drainpipe 7. the water-gathering duct 6 leads to a drainpipe 2a connected to the washstand 2. In the water-gathering duct 6, the both ends in the longitudinal direction are directed upwardly so as to drain water easily.
The present invention includes means for supplying water to the water- sprinkling pipe 3. That is, the water-sprinkling pipe 3 is connected to a water pipe P that leads to a faucet 2b of the washstand 2 through a connection pipe 8, and a switching valve 9 is installed to the connection pipe 8.
Additionally, the switching valve 9 is connected to a controller 10. and the controller 10 is connected to a humidity sensor 11 and an operating switch 12 which are installed to the wall.
For the configuration of water-supplying means as mentioned above, when a supply button 12a is pushed in a manual setting of the operating switch 12, water is supplied to the water-sprinkling pipe 3 by opening the switching valve 9. In an auto setting of the operating switch 12, the humidity sensor 11 detects the humidity of the bathroom, and in case of high humidity, water is supplied to the water-sprinkling pipe 3 by opening the switching valve 9.
The process cleaning the steam on the surface of the mirror 1 by the cleaning device for the mirror according to the present invention is as follows.
When the steam generated in taking a shower with hot water or using hot water stored in the washstand 2 clouds up the surface of the mirror 1 , water is supplied to the water-sprinkling pipe 3 for predetermined time by pushing the supplying button 12a or detecting a humidity set in the humidity sensor 1 1.
Water supplied to the water-sparkling pipe 3 is injected downwardly through the sparkling slit 3a. and flows downwardly along the surface of the mirror 1 with the introduction by the guide blade 4. During this course, the ^steam on the surface of the mirror 1 is cleaned by flowing water, and water reaching the lower end of the mirror 1 is accommodated in the water-gathering duct 6 and drained through the thin drainpipe 7.
Since said cleaning process is, at any time the steam clouding up the surface of the mirror 1, conducted by manual operation, or conducted repeatedly by the humidity detection of the humidity sensor 11, the mirror 1 maintains the clean surface during taking a shower with hot water or using hot water stored in the washstand 2.
The features and advantage of the present invention are as follows.
The cleaning device of the present invention eliminates the steams on the surface of the mirror 1 by flowing water on the surface of the mirror 1 from the upper end of the mirror 1. when the steam clouds up the surface of the mirror 1 in the bathroom or the public bath.
Therefore, as the present invention could maintain the clean surface of the mirror 1 during taking a shower with hot water or using hot water stored in the washstand 2. the convenience in taking a shower or having a wash could be improved. In addition, as water flowing on the surface of the mirror 1 is drained by the drainpipe, the peripheral of the washstand and the floor of the bathroom could be prevented from being polluted by said water.
Although a number of embodiment have described in the above specification, it should be apparent that the present invention could be embodied in many other specific mode included within the sprit and scope of the present invention. Thus, the present embodiments should be considered as illustrative, and the present invention could be modified within the scope of claims and the equivalent thereof.
