Abstract

La présente invention concerne un procédé de production de stéroïde hydroxylé et/ou acétylé comprenant les étapes selon lesquelles: on cultive des levures sur un milieu comprenant au moins un précurseur de tels stéroïdes hydroxylés et/ou acétylés, puis on isole les stéroïdes hydroxylés et/ou acétylés du milieu après bioconversion, ledit procédé étant caractérisé en ce que lesdites levures sont des levures transformées de façon à exprimer le produit du gène Cyp7b. L'invention concerne aussi les souches de levures modifiées.
