Abstract

L'invention concerne un procédé de purification d'un acide gras contenant des substances non saponifiables indésirables, qui consiste a) à fournir un produit de départ d'acide gras C4-C26 contenant des substances non saponifiables, b) à faire réagir ce produit de départ d'acide gras avec un composant d'oxyde de zinc de façon à former un savon de zinc, c) à faire chauffer ce savon de zinc, d) à distiller les substances non saponifiables du savon de zinc, e) à refroidir le savon de zinc purifié, f) à ajouter un composant acide neutralisant au savon de zinc purifié afin de former un mélange contenant un sel de zinc et une couche organique renfermant un acide gras purifié, puis g) à distiller l'acide gras purifié de la couche organique.
