Abstract
Tool for applying solvent and for removing adhesive sheets, developed to facilitate the application of solvents for the removal of the adhesive sheets without liquid losses, and to speeding its removal without damaging the adhesive or the surface in which the sheet is stuck. The invention comprises an innoculator (1) formed by a retaining channel (2) of a trapezoid-like shape with curved angles (6) which allows the tool to be supported without damaging the surface (S). The retaining channel has an upper edge which ends in a blade (3), an even blade (3a), tooth blade (3b), or a combination of both, from whose lower front portion a ring (4) protrudes, so that it may be coupled to the bottle (F) or to the package of the solvent, working as a holder having a coupling limitation (5) in its upper portion along with the solvent container (F) or package. The channel has concave areas (7) which facilitate its handling for coupling or for its removing from the container (F), as well as gives more liberty of handling for the removal of the container lid (F) when the channel is coupled to it.
Description
TOOL FOR APPLYING SOLVENT AND FOR REMOVING ADHESIVE SHEETS IN GENERAL
The present description relates to an Invention Patent Application for TOOL FOR APPLYING SOLVENT AND FOR REMOVING ADHESIVE SHEETS IN GENERAL, new and revolutionary, which is to be used as a sharp blade, having a ring so that it may be coupled either onto bottles or package of solvents in general This causes the solvent to be spilled in the internal surface of the said blade, a retaining channel from which the solvent is flowed to its sharp or tooth edge, thereby doing the spreading of solvent between the adhesive sheet and the surface from which it is to be removed Subsequently, the solvent interacts by neutralizing the adhesive effects and, simultaneously, the tool for applying the solvent works as a spatula, which is, in this way, introduced under the lower surface of the adhesive sheet, thereby assisting the solvent work and causing the adhesive sheet to be gradually released till to be completely removed. This sheet may be either a simple adhesive or an adhesive tape, a label, a tag, or the like, which are stuck on paper, plastic, glass, tile, leather, wood, etc. This invention relates, therefore, to a tool developed from some relatively simple steps, with an well-defined design providing practicality and an uniform application, as well as an effective removal of the adhesive sheets though its edge and by an almost non- attrition contact, avoiding damages, either to the adhesive sheet and to the surface from which it is being removed. Therefore, this is a tool capable for fulfill customer's requirements and needs
As it is known, the removal of labels, tags and adhesives in general is very difficult, and it may become worse depending upon the glue used and on the time during which the adhesives have been effectively stuck on a certain surface This happens mainly when they have been submitted to the heat or to the bad weather, causing damages either to the adhesive sheet and to the surface from which the sheet is to be removed, sometimes even leaving glue residues
Many alternative proceedings have been developed by users to overcome such specific problems, all being broadly taught by the art despite they are poor
Seeking for a practical and economic solution, the inventor, a person who is interested in and connected to the corresponding field, has developed and created this present invention for providing a correct technical and functional solution, which, in general, and in a well simplified way, relates to a TOOL FOR APPLYING SOLVENT AND FOR REMOVING ADHESIVE SHEETS IN GENERAL The scope of this present invention substantially consists of a sharp blade having a ring to be coupled either onto the edge of bottles or packages of solvents in general, so that the solvent may be spilled in the internal surface of the said blade due to a coupling limitation.
The said blade works as a liquid retaining channel which, on being moving downward, causes the solvent to flow to its sharp or tooth edge, or to a combined sharp-tooth edge, thereby allowing the spreading of the solvent between the adhesive sheet and the surface from which the sheet is to be removed. In this way, the solvent neutralizes the adhesive effects and, simultaneously, the tool for application of the solvent works as a spatula which will be introduced under the lower surface of the adhesive sheet, assisting the solvent and making the sheet being gradually released till it is completely removed
This provides either practicality and an uniform application, which effectively removes the adhesive sheets, even when the glue is aged and somewhat difficult to be removed This happens because the tooth edge defines ways through which the solvent can deeply penetrate, thereby acting for a non-damaged removal either to the adhesive sheet and to the surface from which the sheet is being removed.
This invention, therefore, relates to a tool for applying solvent and for removing adhesive sheets developed in a practical form and with low costs on the industrial manufacturing methods. However, it performs the safety, practicality and vigorousness requirements
One of the main aims of this invention is to ensure a great practicality to the user, which is performed because the tool has a ring easily coupled either to the bottle or to the package of the solvent, speeding the handling of the tool as well as avoiding losses of solvent which, in other way, could be spilled out the sheet area. Another purpose of this present invention is to assist solvent by uniformly facilitating its penetration under the lower surface of the adhesive sheet, which,
therefore, speeds and turns more effective the neutralization of the adhesive's action, thereby turning the sheet's removal faster and easier
An additional purpose of the present invention is to provide an ergonomic tool, facilitating the use and handling by the user.
It is also ensured that the referred tool for applying solvent and for removing adhesive sheets has an effective conformity to all of which has been described herewith, and that its action on the adhesive sheet and the surface from which the latter is to be removed occurs almost without attrition, avoiding damages to both
This present invention relates, therefore, to a TOOL FOR APPLYING SOLVENT AND FOR REMOVING ADHESIVE SHEETS IN GENERAL, with the aims above described and to provide great reliance The invention has also been developed to actually provide a tool with new functional features and a high performance. This brings great and new specific improvements which make the invention completely set apart from the prior art, and belonging to a high good sense in its plastic configuration. This present invention relates, therefore, to a TOOL FOR APPLYING
SOLVENT AND FOR REMOVING ADHESIVE SHEETS IN GENERAL, which has been developed with basis on the perfection and efficiency, within the purposes of providing a great reliance on its safe and efficacious design, and its functional and actually innovative features Notwithstanding the above, in order to better understand and clarify the preceding description, some drawings are attached and make reference to
■ The FIGURE 1 is a frontal view of the tool for applying solvent and for removing adhesive sheets in general,
■ The FIGURE 2 is a lateral view of the tool for applying solvent and for removing adhesive sheets in general;
■ The FIGURE 3 is an upper view of the tool for applying solvent and for removing adhesive sheets in general,
■ The FIGURE 4 is a view in perspective of the tool for applying solvent and for removing adhesive sheets in general, hereto coupled to a solvent container and thereby showing the way of use.
According to the drawings, and based on its details, the TOOL FOR APPLYING SOLVENT AND FOR REMOVING ADHESIVE SHEETS IN GENERAL herewith determined consists of an innoculator (1 ) formed by a retaining channel (2), whose upper edge is bordered by a blade (3), which may be an even blade (3a) or a tooth one (3b), to assist the removal of more difficult removable adhesive sheets (L). From one end of the channel (2) and towards its front portion, a ring (4) is protruded so that the channel may be coupled to the solvent container (F). Therefore, the ring (4) may have several geometric forms, depending upon the solvent container's shape (F) or the package's shape in which the ring is to be coupled, such as cylindrical, quadrangular, elliptical and others, so that it may wrap the container. The ring is still provided with a coupling limitation (5) close to the said container or package. The channel (2) has a trapezoid-like shape, either from an upper or lateral view, whose angles and sides (6) are a little bit curved for avoiding damages to the surface from which the adhesive sheet is to be removed, even if the retaining channel is somewhat supported on such surface. It is still important to mention that the innoculator (1), on the lower central portion, is laterally provided with concave areas (7) which facilitate the process of handling it for coupling or removal from the solvent container (F). This also facilitates the removal of the container (7) slid when it is coupled to the retaining channel.
Therefore, the use of this tool (1) is performed through the ring (4) being coupled to the solvent container edge rim (F) or to the packages in general, till the ring is barred by the coupling limitation (5) in such a way that the solvent may be spilled into the internal portion of the channel (2) when the container is moved downward. The channel is a solvent retainer and, according to the slope of the container, the solvent flows to the sharp blade (3), an even blade (3a), a tooth blade (3b), or a blade combining even and tooth edges. This spreads the solvent between the adhesive sheet (L) and the surface (S) from which the sheet is to be removed; the solvent gradually neutralizes the adhesive action while the channel (1 ) simultaneously works as a spatula, so that its sharp blade (3) is gradually
introduced in the lower surface of the adhesive sheet (L), assisting the solvent, and causing the sheet to be released on and on, till it is completely removed This proceedings provides, therefore, a great practicality due to an uniform application that makes an efficient removal of the adhesive sheets This happens even when the glue is aged and hard to be solved because the tooth blade (3b) assists the progress by creating ways for a deeper penetration of the solvent, thereby allowing for a removal which is harmless either to the adhesive sheet (L) and to the surface (L) from which the sheet is being removed.
The device herewith designed may be used to the removal of adhesive or adhesive tape, tags, labels, or the like, which are stuck on paper, plastic, glass, tile, leather, wood, etc.
The present report has described a new concept of TOOL FOR APPLYING THE SOLVENT AND FOR REMOVAL OF ADHESIVE SHEETS IN GENERAL, defined as shown by the corresponding details, figures, advantages in comparison with the existing conventional method of the art, and manufacturing and functional features completely new if compared with the existing art.
Having herewith been described and illustrated the best way of embodiment of the present invention, several other modifications or variations may be brought by those skilled in the art.
However, it shall be understood that the present invention is not limited to the practical features herewith preferred, illustrated and described, and that such and all modifications shall be understood as wholly comprised by the aspects and scope of the present invention
This invention, by the advantages which provides, and still by its technical features actually new, fulfils all the originality and novelty requirements in the area, having therefore the necessary profile to be patented.
