Description

CONTROLLED MULTIPURPOSE CIRCULATIVE SYSTEM FOR MAINTENANCE OF GRASSED SPORT GROUNDS
1. THE TECHNICAL FIELD This invention relates to improving maintenance process of grassed sport grounds from hydro-technical and hydrological and scientific pedology aspects, with an accent on rational use of space, attractive sports ground for numerous functions.
One of the major problems with maintaining and using high quality grassed sport grounds is an issue of quick drainage of seepage water due to heavy rainfalls, than of rational irrigation of grassed surfaces, as well as washing away of nutritious components from the base and continuous following of the sedimentation process of organic matters, which largely have a negative effect on development of grass cover and its root system.
2. BACKGROUND ART
The technical solutions connected with the quality of maintenance of grassed sport grounds, known until today, have mainly been offering separate solutions as separate technical/technological solutions, not paying sufficient attention to economic side of maintenance, the analysis of base composition, sedimentation of organic and other matters that develop due to process of decay and fertilization, their constant control, the climate conditions that directly effect the vegetation and development of root system, and particularly to natural demands for creation of identical conditions for optimal development and the quality of sport grounds in its entire area. The sport ground with an area that varies from 8.500 to 14.000 m2, depending on the purpose of the area, whether it is only for football or for athletics as well, and besides extremely well constructed infrastructure of the stadium, has been used exclusively for one function, which from the construction and maintenance aspect, is irrational.
3. DISCLOSURE OF THE INVENTION
The primary goal of the patent is maximum rationalization of necessary requirements for a higher quality and economic maintenance of grassed sport grounds with connection of technical -technological solutions into unique multipurpose system. An aim of this system is:
• to decrease maintenance costs,
• to achieve optimal conditions grass growth and development of root system, • to eliminate colloid particles from the base and chemical substances which are greatly damaging and to use extremely attractive stadium area for numerous purposes. The controlled multipurpose circulative system, which is the subject of the patent- protection, has four important functions :
1. Drainage and dewatering of seepage water at rainfalls falls from 125 to 150 litters on one square meter in an hour. The system is connected with stadium rain collector:
2. Circulation of water for capillary irrigation and feeding root system, with possibility to regulate water level and the control of its chemical composition and temperature:
3. Heating of water for capillary irrigation by "wasted" heat from business facilities and by heaters until reaching optimal values, mounting "plastic cover" and using sun energy, will create realistic preconditions for development of root system and grass covering in winter conditions as well, and the circulative system enables constant values and constant automatic control of its chemical composition with small energy and water loses:
4. Using sports arena area for numerous purposes without collision according to demands and regulations of competitive sport and the basic function of the building.
Prefabricated structure on girder grid, defined depending on the purpose of the business area with high quality waterproofing and drainage system with optimal floors, provides for quick and economic construction, and the present infrastructure of the stadium (water supply, drainage, electrical installations, fire alarm system, heating, ventilation, loud-speaking system....) makes the entire project rational and profitable.
The accent of the patent is in controlled multipurpose circulative system, which consists of channels 1 serving for approaching to secondary drainage channel 2 for the purpose of cleaning 3 and flow and function control. The function of channel 1 is to bring water from reservoir 19 by a pump for circulation 22 when the system is in function of capillary irrigation, as well as heating in winter weather conditions 20.
The system of secondary drainage channel 2 and primary channel 4 over central control shaft 5, cleaning and rinsing 14 is connected with city rain collector 6a by a full-way valve 7.
Opening the valve 8 and closing the valve 7 eliminates completely drainage and dewatering system and enables the function of capillary circulative irrigation system and if necessary winter heating of water 20, along with the use of drainage system channels 2-4. In the aim to avoid colloid particle from the water, mechanic filters are installed. They can be cleaned, washed and replaced when necessary. Filter 9 for particles larger than 0 0,5 mm, filter 10 for particle larger than 0 0,2 mm, filter 11 for particles larger than 0 0,08 mm, filter 12 for particles larger than 0 0,04 mm, and filter 13 for particle larger than 0 0,02 mm.
Washing and cleaning of inspection shafts for mechanical filtering is made by sucking sediment and rinsing of sedimentation tanks by water under pressure, and all shafts are connected by channels 6b with city collector 6a, valves 14 (whose opening and closing as in case of all valves, is automatic).
Inspection shaft 15 receives by gravitation and mechanical filtering the water without colloid particle, which is, prior putting into circulative system, tested by computer analysis 16. After determining chemical composition of the water, the same is directed by a pump 17, into ionic exchanger 18 of capacity 20 m3/hour, whose function is to bring the quality of composition of water to necessary level for capillary irrigation. Treated water from ionic exchanger 18 is transported to reservoir 19 of capacity 200 to 250 m3. Reservoir 19 has a function to provide reserve quantities of water, its heating in winter period 20, final treatment and final control by computer analysis 16 before bringing it into controlled system of circulative irrigation.
From reservoir 19 which is connected with the city water supply 21 with the aim to provide additional quantities of water by pump 22 of capacity 20 m3/hour, the water is put into system of capillary irrigation by side channel 1, and over it into entire drainage system 2-4 into closed circulative system of capillary irrigation.
Depending on requirements and climatic conditions, the level of capillary irrigation can be regulated by automatic valves 23, which are connected trough inspection shaft 24 with the city collector 6a.
Surface watering 25 serves for occasional irrigation of grassed field and for gravitational rinsing of damaging organic matter when the chemical analysis show its presence in a larger percentage.
Depending on climatic conditions and quantity of "wasted" heat into final layer of football filed - 15 cm, it is possible to install electrical heaters 26 which, together with installed easy to install- dismantle plastic cover elements
27, provide development of root system and grass cover in winter weather conditions. 4. BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF DRAWINGS
