Abstract

The invention relates to gas cooling devices to be used for cooling high power gas flows for example, in nuclear power stations and various industries emitting substances which are harmful to the environment. The inventive device comprises at least one cascade consisting of parallel lines connected to common input and output collector. Each line consists of heat-insulated flow chambers sequentially connected by means of heat-insulated goffered branch pipes. The low chamber provided with heat transfer plates coupled with thermal microconverters which form an electric circuit, whereby it is possible to regulate the voltage at the welds. The units for cooling the hot welds are embodied in the form of removable modules and mounted on lateral surfaces of flow chambers by means of external stems. The invention enables to increase the device cooling performance and the depth of cooldown at minimal overall dimensions of the device.
