Abstract

L'invention concerne un procédé et un dispositif permettant de mesurer la résistance d'un os, en particulier d'une guérison osseuse après une fracture ou une ostéotomie. Les moyens de fixation externes sont fixés dans l'os à au moins deux endroits. Les moyens de fixation externes sont pourvus de moyens permettant de détecter et/ou de mesurer un déplacement relatif entre les deux moyens de fixation, l'os étant soumis à une force. Les mesures et/ou les détections correspondantes du déplacement relatif sont effectuées par l'intermédiaire de moyens de détection et/ou de mesure sans contact et/ou bidimensionnels. Les mesures effectuées permettent de fournir une évaluation plus précise de la résistance et/ou de la faiblesse d'un os. L'invention concerne également un moyen de fixation externe permettant l'utilisation du procédé et du dispositif décrits dans la présente invention.
