Abstract

Es soll eine Lösung zur Verbesserung des Empfangs und zur Erhöhung der Signalqualität von Mobilstationen in CDMA-basierten Mobilfunksystemen der 3. Generation angegeben werden, die weniger aufwendig ist als bisher bekannte Lösungen. Bei dem erfindunsgemäßen Verfahren, bei dem ein Rake-Empfänger einem linearen Antennenarray (AA) nachgeschaltet wird, werden zunächst die Signale über N Antennen eines Antennenarrays empfangen und an Beamformer (BF) weitergeleitet, gleichzeitig werden zur Weiterleitung der empfangenen Signale an Beamformer die Richtungen der einzelnen Pfade der Empfangssignale geschätzt (DSPI) und danach aus den geschätzten Richtungen der Pfade die K stärksten Pfade ermittelt und ihrer Leistung nach sortiert. Anschließend werden die so ermittelten Signale der Richtungen φ1, ..., φK einzelnen Beamformern übergeben, deren Anzahl der der K stärksten Pfade entspricht, dann werden im k-ten Beamformer die Gewichtsfaktoren w(k) ermittelt, jeweils mit den Signalen der Ausgänge des Antennenarrays multipliziert und die so erzeugte Richtcharakteristik auf den jeweils zugeordneten Rake-Finger (RF) gegeben und abschließend die Richtcharakteristiken aus jedem der Rake-Finger zum Gesamtempfangssignal des 2D-Rake-Empfängers kombiniert (KO). Somit wird für jeden einzelnen Finger des 2D-Rake-Empfängers eine Richtcharakteristik erzeugt, die eine optimale Direktivität besitzt.
