Abstract

The invention relates to a liquid vessel consisting of an upright helical tube, the top end and the bottom end of which are connected to an upright tube part which has an open upper end which is closable by for instance a stopper or cap.

Description

LIQUID VESSEL
The invention relates to a liquid vessel. The invention has for its object to manufacture an attractive liquid vessel, for instance a vinegar or oil vessel . The liquid vessel according to the invention is characterized by at least one helical tube.
The invention will be elucidated in the description following hereinbelow with reference to a drawing. In the drawing figures 1-7 show side views of embodiments of a liquid vessel according to the invention.
According to figure 1 a continuous glass tube 1 s bent in hot condition into helical shape, wherein the bottom end is closed by welding and the top end is widened into a vertical spout 3. In the oil or vinegar vessel of figures 1 and 2 the bottom end of tube 1 is placed in a horizontal plane and/or provided with one or more welded-on feet 2. Spout 3 is provided with a removable stopper 4 or cap.
According to figure 2 the lower end of a vertical tube piece 5 connects via an inward directed connecting piece 6 to the bottom end 7 of a tubular screw 8.
The top end of tubular screw 8 is connected to the vertical tube piece under the spout 3.
This liquid vessel is also manufactured from a glass tube bent in hot condition. The vertical tube piece is herein perforated at the position of the connection to the top end of the screw.
During filling with liquid the air can escape from the screw part into the vertical tube piece 5, which facilitates filling. When liquid is poured from the liquid vessel an attractive liquid and air bubble interaction is created in the helical windings in figures 1-3 and 5. The applied tube has an inner diameter of between for instance 10 and 3 mm, preferably between 8 and 4 mm and more preferably between 7 and 5 mm. The number of helical windings herein amounts preferably to between 20 and 2, more preferably between 15 and 3 and most preferably between 10 and 5.
The outer diameter of the screw part amounts to for instance less than 2 or 1 dm, preferably less than 7 or 6 cm for a table vinegar vessel or table oil vessel, or optionally even less for a perfume bottle.
The tube can also be manufactured from a preferably transparent plastic hose which is bent in deformable, for instance hot condition and is hardened in the bent state. Plastic deformation of a tube can also be envisaged.
The liquid-air bubble interaction can only be seen if the tube is transparent.
According to figure 3 the table oil vessel is provided with a central vessel 9 around which lies a helical winding -10, the top and bottom ends of which are connected to this vessel 9. A larger volume of the table oil vessel is thus achieved of for instance between 0.5 and 0.1 1, preferably between 0.4 and 0.2 1. In figure 3 the winding 10 is placed round a narrowed lower end of vessel 9, but may extend over practically the whole length thereof.
The table oil lamp or paraffin lamp of figure 4 is constructed in the same way as the vessel of figure 1, but a wick carrier 11 of glass or other material is arranged in the top end instead of a spout, while wick 12 extends downward.
The preferred dimensions ± 50%, preferably ± 30% can be derived from the added scale in the figures. A water, wine or whisky carafe can have the same construction as "the vessel of figure 3, although with a volume of 0.7 - 1.2 1, preferably 0.75 - 1 1. The form may be that of for instance figure 3 or figure 5.
Figures 6 and 7 show two embodiments of a liquid vessel according to the invention particularly intended for filling with champagne. The liquid vessel consists substantially of an upright helical tube, the top end and the bottom end of which are preferably connected to an upright tube part.
