Abstract

Bei Kommunikationsprotokollen werden sowohl Nutzerdaten als auch Kontrollinformationen übertragen. Während bei vielen Protokollen (Nachrichten-)Pakete mit Nutzerdaten durchnumeriert werden und dadurch sichergestellt wird, daß die Nutzerdaten vollständig und sequenzgesichert an den Empfänger übergeben werden, werden Nachrichten, die nur Kontrollinformationen enthalten, üblicherweise nicht durchnumeriert. Dieser Umstand kann zu Überholungen von Kontrollnachrichten und dadurch zum Verwerfen von aktueller Kontrollinformation führen. Die Erfindung beschreibt nun, wie man das Verwerfen aktueller Kontrollinformation vermeidet.
