Abstract

La présente invention concerne un dispositif électronique conçu pour être utilisé en connexion avec un dispositif externe et à recevoir, d'un dispositif externe connecté, un code identifiant un tel dispositif externe. Le dispositif électronique est conçu afin de stocker, lors de sa connexion à un dispositif externe, un code d'identification permettant d'identifier le dispositif externe, et de maintenir en mémoire le code d'identification après déconnexion d'avec le dispositif externe. L'invention concerne aussi un procédé de détermination de la cause d'une erreur dans un dispositif électronique du type mentionné ci-dessus. Le procédé est caractérisé par la mise en mémoire dans le dispositif électronique, lorsqu'il est relié à un dispositif externe, d'un code d'identification permettant d'identifier le dispositif externe, par le maintien en mémoire du code d'identification après déconnexion d'avec le dispositif externe, et par analyse du code d'identification en mémoire lorsqu'une erreur est détectée.
