Abstract

Air passage louvers (2) are formed on the air supply duct (1) of the refrigerator and the shelves (5) are mounted by means of the air supply duct connection (3) in such a manner that they correspond to the said air passage louvers (2) using tight-fitting or joint-packing techniques. Said openings (4) are arranged transversally or longitudinally on the lower and/or upper sides of the said shelves (5). Air that is blown out into the air supply duct (1) on the refrigerator body by the fan (7) is transferred to the openings (4) formed in the shelves (5) by means of the air passage louvers (2). Openings (4) of various dimensions and numbers are arranged on the shelves (5) in order to provide the diffusion of the blown air towards the inside of the refrigerator. An equal distribution of the blown air in the volume to be cooled which is either the upper or lower section, is provided by means of the openings (4) on the shelves (5).

Description

AIR DISTRIBUTION INSIDE THE REFRIGERATOR BODY
The present invention relates to the realization of a more homogenous diffusion of the cooled air inside the body structure by means of additional air ducts that are placed on the shelves and the openings or louvers located on these air ducts, in a refrigerator where cooling is achieved by forced air flow.
In the known techniques, air is blown out into the refrigerator body through the louvers or air ducts, by means of a fan. Furthermore, blowing air into the refrigerator through the ducts located above the door, is also a known technique. However in such techniques, air is not diffused homogeneously inside the refrigerator. Also, when the refrigerator door is opened and closed, it takes a certain period of time for the interior air to come back to the required temperature.
The object of the present invention is to provide the blowing of the air to be realized over the shelves so that the air is diffused homogeneously within the refrigerator.
The air diffusion inside the refrigerator body, realized in order to attain the above mentioned object of the invention has been illustrated in the attached drawings, wherein:
Figure la- is the plan view of the shelves with the air ducts; Figure lb- is the view showing the air transmission at the shelves where air ducts are placed Figure 2- is the view of the openings on the air ducts at "open" position with the movement of the flow adjustment profile;
Figure 3- is the view of the openings on the air ducts at "closed" position with the movement of the flow adjustment profile;
Figure 4- is the view showing the flow of the blown air in the shelves; Figure 5- is the general view of the refrigerator The components shown in the drawings have been numerated as follows:
1. Air supply duct
2. Air passage louver
3. Air supply duct connection
4. Opening
5. Shelf
6. Flow adjustment profile
7. Fan
In refrigerators, air blown out into the refrigerator body passes through the openings (4) formed on the shelves (5), in order to reduce the temperature regeneration period inside the refrigerator after the door is opened and closed, and to provide a homogenous air diffusion in the refrigerator thus to obtain a homogenous temperature distribution to store the food at the same temperature for the same period of time.
In order to attain this object, air passage louvers (2) are provided on the air supply duct (1) and the shelves (5) are mounted by means of the air supply duct connection (3) by tight-fitting or joint-packing in such a manner that the shelves (5) correspond to the said air passage louvers (2). The openings (4) are arranged transversally or longitudinally on the lower and/or upper sides of the said shelves (5). Air blown out by the fan (7) into the air supply duct (1) on the body, is transferred to the openings (4) formed in the shelves (5) by means of the air passage louvers (2). Numerous openings (4) of various dimensions are formed on the shelves (5) in order to provide the transmission of the blown air towards the inside of the refrigerator. An equal distribution of the blown air in the upper or lower sections is provided by means of the openings (4) on the shelves (5).
A sliding flow adjustment profile (6) preferably made of plastics is placed in the shelves (5) to provide the control and guiding of the air blown in. The said flow adjustment profile (6) is used when the shelves (5) are placed vertically in the refrigerator. When the shelves are placed horizontally in the refrigerator, a plate is placed in the shelves (5).
By means of a sliding plastic flow adjustment profile (6) or a plate placed in the shelf (5), the user can adjust the position of the flow adjustment profile (6) or the plate according to the position of the openings (4) on the shelf (5) and can provide the transmission of cooler air or less air to the desired section. This can be realized directly by using a plastic profile or a plate, without arranging any openings (4) on the shelf (5).
Numerous air passage louvers (2) have been formed on the refrigerator body in order to enable the user to adjust the shelves as he or she desires. The air passage louvers (2) are left empty and can be closed by the user.
