Abstract

Cette invention se rapporte au domaine des revêtements réfléchissants, notamment des revêtements de protection thermique, et peut être utilisée afin de protéger des personnes se trouvant dans des conditions où s'exerce une action thermique et rayonnante (solaire) élevée. Cette invention permet de créer des masques pour pompiers, pour métallurgistes ou pour des ouvriers contrôlant visuellement des processus à hautes températures, ainsi que des costumes pour les pompiers, des tentes spéciales, des tenues de démineurs ou, encore, des surfaces réfléchissantes pour des installations électriques, telles que des concentrateurs solaires. Ce revêtement se compose de deux couches, l'une faite d'argent sur un substrat et l'autre d'un oxyde métallique. Cette invention se caractérise en ce que la couche d'argent possède une épaisseur de 20 à 250 nm, tandis que l'oxyde métallique consiste en de l'oxyde de titane ou de l'oxyde de zirconium. Cette combinaison permet d'accroître le coefficient de transmission et le coefficient d'affaiblissement du rayonnement thermique, d'accroître les résistances mécanique et chimique du revêtement, et de pouvoir utiliser ce dernier même sur des substrats polymères.
