Abstract

A device for retaining a PC cabinet or similar underneath a desk or similar in a detachable manner is described, which device comprises a central, plate-shaped member (2) with at least one pair of arms (3, 4), where each arm includes a toothed portion (5, 6), which toothed portion (5) of one arm (3) in the pair of arms is interconnected with the other toothed portion (6) of the other arm (4) in the pair of arms via a cogwheel (11), in a manner such that movement of one arm (3,4) causes the other arm (4, 3) to move in the opposite direction. A tightening and locking mechanism grips the side walls of the PC cabinet by using flexible blocks or plates (9, 10) at the end of the arms (3, 4).

Device for retaining a PC cabinet or similar underneath a desktop in a detachable manner, w h e r e i n the device retains the cabinet by pressing against two approximately parallell side walls of the cabinet, so as to achieve sufficient friction between the device and the cabinet to lift the device and thereby the cabinet, position the device, and thus retain the cabinet.

Device for retaining a PC cabinet or similar underneath a desk or similar in a detachable manner according to Claim 1, h e r e i n the device comprises a central, plate-shaped member (2) with at least one pair of arms (3, 4), each arm including a toothed portion (5, 6), which toothed portion (5) of one of the arms (3) in the pair of aims is interconnected with the other toothed portion (6) of the other arm (4) in the pair of arms via a cogwheel (11), so that movement of one arm (3, 4) causes the other arm (4, 3) to move in the opposite direction.

Device according to Claims 1-2, w h e r e i n each arm has a generally L- shaped profile along the longitudinal direction of the arm (3, 4), and where the shortest part (7, 8) of the arm (3, 4) profile is provided with flexible blocks or plates (9, 10) for engaging the side walls of the PC cabinet 4.
Device according to Claims 1-3, h e r e i n the device further comprises a tightening and locking device for further tightening of the engagement between the aims (3, 4) and the side walls of the PC cabinet, which tightening and locking device includes a handle (13), an intermediate piece (14) with a threaded through hole (15), a rod (18) with a threaded portion (20) and an upwardly projecting lug (21) on the plate-shaped member (7), which handle ( 3) is rotatably connected to two upwardly projecting lugs (16, 17) on the plate-shaped member (2), the other end of which rod (17) has a head (19) for engaging the lug (21) on the plate-shaped member (7), and the other end of which is screwed into the through hole (15) of the intermediate piece (14); the turning of the handle (13) causing the rod (17) to pull the aπns (3, 4) and the flexible blocks or plates (9, 10) closer to the side walls of the PC cabinet, thus retaining these.
